A Chairde
Tá laoch ar lár.
It is with a heavy heart that I relate the news that our former Chairman and club stalwart Des Ó Dubhláin passed from us overnight.
Des was an outstanding Gael.
Des served for many years on our exec and completed with his tenure as Chairperson - he was a man of great commitment to all the values of Na Fianna, he worked tirelessly for the betterment of our Gaelic community. We are the richer for his contribution.
Among his many volunteer club roles Des coached 1990 Boys all the way from nursery to Minor stayed at Minor for a number of years and his last act as a mentor was to be involved in the minor B championship win in 2011.
We were privileged to have Des attend our most recent All Ireland victory - a fitting culmination to his life long club commitment.
Des was also deeply involved in Scoil an tSeachtar Laoch.
Our thoughts are with his family of Tiarnan, Fiona agus Eimear.
Ní maith liom ár mbris. Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh aige.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam uasal.
