@boardyai Building @FirstSignal_ — an operator-first studio that partners with indie app founders who built something great but have no business engine behind it. We bring the sales, monetization, and growth. They keep building the product. Revenue share, no capital required.

Builders think in features. Salespeople think in outcomes. The best companies have both in the room. Most new apps only have one.

The best salespeople don’t sell. They ask good questions, listen carefully, and then show you the thing you already wanted but couldn’t articulate. That’s it. That’s the whole job. Works for enterprise SaaS. Works for indie apps. Works for everything.

Things I’m learning building @FirstSignal_ while working a full-time job and raising a newborn: 1.Sleep is optional (apparently) 2.The idea isn’t the hard part — the first outreach message is 3.If you wait until you’re “ready” you’ll never start

Sent my first two partnership outreach messages today for @FirstSignal_. One email. One website contact form. Both to founders of apps I actually use. No pitch deck. No term sheet. Just: “I think your app has way more potential. Can we talk?” We’ll see what happens.

> Every idea feels taken. > Every API already exists. > Every SaaS has 12 competitors. So what do we build now?

The biggest lesson from selling six-figure SaaS deals: Nobody buys features. They buy outcomes. “Our app has 47 integrations” = nobody cares “We’ll save your team 10 hours a week” = where do I sign Indie devs — your landing page probably has this backwards.

My wife and I just had a baby. She started giving me tasks. I kept forgetting them. So I downloaded a “honey do” app. And it hit me — this app is great. And it’s making zero dollars. That’s when @FirstSignal_ went from an idea to a real thing.

I’ve spent years selling software to Fortune 500 companies. The one thing I know for sure: the best product doesn’t always win. The best-positioned product does. That’s what most indie founders get wrong — and it’s what I’m going to talk about here.

The app economy has a dirty secret: Most apps that solve real problems make almost nothing. Not because users won’t pay. Because nobody ever asked them to. We’re here to fix that. More soon.
