Yesterday, we had an RTC at PICSS to commemorate the success of Pakistani nation and AFs in Marka e Haq and BunyanuMarsoos on completion of one year. پاکستان چگونه خود را به یک میانجی مهم در سطح جهان تبدیل کرد، و افغان‌ها چه درسی باید از این تجربه بگیرند؟ واقعیت این است که پاکستان، به‌عنوان کشوری نسبتاً جوان و از نگاه امنیتی آسیب‌پذیر، خیلی زود آموخت چگونه میان قدرت‌های مختلف توازن برقرار کند و بر اساس منافع خود با هر طرف رابطه بسازد. همین مهارت، فرصت‌های مهمی برای آن فراهم کرده است؛ فرصت‌هایی که نهادهای قدرتمند پاکستان، به‌ویژه ساختار نظامی، به‌سرعت از آن استفاده کرده‌اند، در حالی‌که بسیاری از کشورها به‌دلیل بوروکراسی ضعیف‌تر و روندهای کندتر سیاسی، نتوانسته‌اند با همان سرعت و انسجام عمل کنند. در نتیجه، پاکستان توانسته است همزمان روابط خود با امریکا را حفظ کند، با چین شراکت راهبردی داشته باشد، با ایران رابطه‌ای عمل‌گرایانه پیش ببرد، و با کشورهای خلیج پیوندهای سیاسی، ایدئولوژیک و اقتصادی برقرار سازد. همین ترکیب، این کشور را در موقعیتی قرار داده که نقش میانجی را بپذیرد و از آن برای افزایش جایگاه، نفوذ و منافع خود بهره بگیرد. اما درس اصلی برای افغان‌ها روشن است: نباید خود را در خدمت بازی‌ها و معاملات دیگران قرار دهند، به‌ویژه وقتی این بازی‌ها در چارچوب موازنه‌سازی قدرت‌های منطقه‌ای انجام می‌شود. تجربه نشان داده است که «اجاره شدن» در چنین روندی، نه ثبات می‌آورد و نه استقلال. در عوض، افغان‌ها باید بیاموزند که خود به یک بازیگر مستقل و دارای برنامهٔ ملی تبدیل شوند؛ بازیگری که منافع خود را تعریف کند، بر همان اساس با دیگران تعامل نماید، و نگذارد سرنوشتش در معامله‌های دیگران تعیین شود. به بیان روشن، درس برای افغان‌ها این است که ابزار دیگران نشوند، بلکه خود به یک بازیگر حسابگر و تعیین‌کننده بدل گردند.

#Peshawar #PakAfghan jirga: Former Governor #Khyber #Pakhtunkhwa Shaukatullah Khan called for an immediate 3-month Pak #Afghan ceasefire so members of the jirga could work for a possible peace deal through negotiations. He said #Pashtun can solve their problems as Pashtoon can no more burden the war. He was critical at the policy about refugees and said “ we had welcomed the Afghan refugees but now we are forcing them to leave”.

Pakistanis were happy that their leadership has handled Pak US relationship well, and it's on a positive trajectory. Clubbing Pakistan with US potential adversaries has cast a big Q mark on how US view Pak. Far from ground reality. Pak defence preps only india centric, period.
