One day, I’ll be standing in an auditorium full of undergrads teaching them about Nazism and Zionism under the same module. I’ll show them a documentary about May 26th 2024 - when Israel dropped several 2 thousand ton bombs on sleeping refugees in a tent, the students will lament on how the world could possibly remain silent if we had video footage from months of similar carnage. We’ll sociologically analyze how global consent and complicity is manufactured through propaganda, and then students will be asked to write a 1000 word essay on the fake beheaded babies story. And this is how history simply repeats itself, unless the cycle is broken by a few brave souls. Are you on of them?

No, you hysterical toddler. A Jewish Canadian is 25x more likely to REPORT a hate crime. That makes a huge difference when you're dealing with a fragile and paranoid population who see scarves and watermelon pins as "hate crimes".

.@normfinkelstein and the Ramblings of a Dying Jewish “Left” By Laith Marouf Before addressing the statements of Finkelstein, I would like to point out a very important fact. Our strategic goal as Palestinians, is to liberate Palestine and our people at any cost. We have not an atom of care what happens to Jews and Judaism, trespassing on our homeland or inside Imperial Domains, after or during liberation. We do not allow the issue of the fate of Jews and Judaism to cloud our tactical manoeuvres to achieve our strategic goal; i.e. to end the Genocide of our people and the Colonization of our lands. We work to defeat militarily the Jewish Colony on our land, and work to defeat politically Jewish Institutions financing, recruiting and exerting power within Imperial Domains, to support the Jewish Colony and its crimes. So, when talking about what we believe are the tactical paths to defeating Jewish Supremacy within Imperial Domains, I see only two. Either there is a “Left” Jewish revolution against Jewish Supremacists control of Jewish Institutions; and that would be a bloodless Jewish civil war. Or there is a “Right” Majority revolution against Jewish Supremacist control of the political structures; and that would be an ugly bloodbath. Until now, the Jewish “Left” has refused to address internally the problems in their community; they abandoned their duties to liberate Judaism and Jewish Institutions. They abandoned that fight while the whole world could see clearly that Genocides are being committed in the name of Judaism and Imperial Power is being coerced in a "Flaunting" manner; and then Fink & the “Left” say we can’t allow for Jews to be blamed as a fifth column. So let’s look deeper into the contradictions of this self described Trotskyist/Anarchist/Chomskiest. On the one hand, Fink admits that Jewish leadership and institutions in the Empire flaunted their money and media power to persecute opponents locally, and champion Genocides and Wars in the killing fields. On the other, he is saying it is irrational that any person from the majority population, or for that matter a larger minority than Jews, would question the hold of the Jewish Elite on the politics of the Empire locally and internationally. Or that there would be a conflict between the interests of the majority population and a minority’s narrow interests. The Zionist Strategic goals, to exterminate any opposition to their Jewish Supremacist project for an Empire in West Asia and North Africa; contradicts with the Imperialist strategic goals of maintaining hold and flow of the oil and gas fields and trade routs in West Asia. Why is it so hard to believe America First could actually be Israel Last? Another contradiction in what Fink says, is his point about the Conservative media personalities rebelling against the Jewish Elite. He says the “progressives” should not also confront the Jewish Elite hold on politics, but to organize locally on services like Mamdani. Let’s be very clear, Palestinian, Arabic and Muslim commentators who lean “right”, had huge success in convincing the conservative “white” circles correctly, that they can maintain the Empire even if they give up on Israel, and that Israel is hurting their cause. Nobody can deny Imperial support for Genocide at the hands of Jews, destroyed 100 years of accumulated soft and military power for the Empire. Truth is, the “Left” in the Empire, mainly led by Jewish voices, refused to address the question, and lynched any Palestinian, Arabic & Muslim voices who addressed it. In fact, the majority of times Jewish Supremacy or control were addressed from a “left” perspective, was Jewish “left” voices like Fink speaking on “Right” platforms. In any case, it is not our responsibility as Palestinians to save Jews or Judaism from what may come after the liberation of Palestine, or during that process; especially when not one Jew wants to risk their life to save Judaism from Jewish Supremacy, or to save those persecuted in its name. But, there is a never ending lineup of Jews that want to talk and write about it like Fink. We don’t want to touch Fink’s opinions about October 7th with a six-foot pole; it is not worth the headache.

In a sea of repeated ceasefire violations by Israel against Gaza, it remains important to note that Israel signed a ceasefire deal with *Hamas* yet continues to openly assassinate and attempts to assassinate Hamas officials and commanders, in addition to killing civilians daily.

Israel has signed a ceasefire agreement with Hamas yet continues to bomb them and brags about it openly. I don’t know of any other country that does that. They do not even offer justifications for the breach of the deal they themselves agreed to.

I find it odd that there are some purported pro-Palestinian people on the left that spend more time explaining to me why the condemnations of Israel by Carlson, MTG and Gates are insincere than they do condemning AOC for supporting Iron Dome that has made the genocide possible.

If you're demanding that Palestinians only accept support from politicians and pundits whose resume YOU consider acceptable, then your support for us is 100% performative, because that's a death sentence. Look around...count the people with power who are willing to oppose Israel

Even if the right wing alliance leads to people conflating Jewishness with Zionism (literally what Israel believes and wants) and it makes people dislike Jews, I repeat DISLIKE Jews, it’s not as bad as Jewish Zionists literally murdering Palestinians in a host of sick barbaric ways in the name of their Jewishness. Have we collectively lost the plot here? How is the threat of a phantom bad thing happening once again overshadowing our efforts to stop the bad thing that’s happening right now!!!

What could be more “sinister” than the fact self-proclaimed “Jews” in the one place that represents them all (apparently) are committing a genocide against the people whose lands they have occupied and entrapped them within and for some reason no one has the power to stop it? “Something bad is going to happen” because some right wing figures are saying they don’t like it?! Umm, something bad is already f’in happening! Unless, the bad thing that is happening to Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims, brown people isn’t the REALLY bad thing you’re talking about. The only REALLY bad thing to have ever happened and the phantom threat of it happening again is the bad thing that happened to European Jews? 😉

I reject the idea that there can be no points of human commonality between the right and left. It is being demonstrated, in real time, that a live-streamed genocide can, in fact, blur (or even erase) hard divisions. The normal revulsion one feels from watching, day in and day out, the unrelenting slaughter of infants, toddlers, children, and innocents is not unique to those on the left or the right. It is a human revulsion. The realization that a small group of people seem to wield inordinate influence, control even, over our political institutions, financial institutions, media institutions, education institutions, and so on, is also quite the unifying collective event that puts left and right on common ground. I fundamentally disagree with Norman that some issues are the exclusive purview of the right or left.

Given the renewed interest in this topic, it's worth revisiting my interview with Norm from last month in which we debate how the left should understand Israel-criticism coming from Tucker/Owens/MTG et al.

I’ve now listened to half of this and I can say that my esteem for @normfinkelstein has dropped precipitously. 1) he asks incredulously and rhetorically whether anyone can possibly believe right wingers care about suffering and oppression, dismissively concluding they don’t and all ostensible concern for Palestine is really just about antisemitism. I know a number of right wingers, including @Villgecrazylady and @CurtMills reasonably well and I guarantee they are driven by Palestinian suffering more than concern for America first. They are also driven more by genuine concern than many left-wingers who simply use Palestine to virtue signal and are willing to destroy the pro Palestine movement from within in order to do so. 2) Finkelstein posits America first and concern for Palestinian suffering as antithetical values. Actually, the point I’ve heard many right wingers cogently make, including @TuckerCarlson and @RealCandaceO (who I disagree with on many other issues, btw) is that it is automatically detrimental to America to enable and ratify gross human rights violations. So the two are complementary. We can’t advance our values when we are actively destroying them in other parts of the world. 3) apparently, right wingers do not talk about the holocaust enough for Finkelstein’s satisfaction, which he believes evinces inherent antisemitism. Isn’t this the same guy who wrote the book of the Holocaust industry? Maybe it’s time to concentrate on the holocaust happening now, not the one that happened 80 years ago, with many others in between, by the way. And given how the Nazi holocaust has been weaponized to kill Palestinians and ironically commit a new Holocaust, I think it’s reasonable to determine we’ve discussed it enough and the right lessons haven’t been learned 4) Finkelstein warns about handing your enemies their arguments on a silver platter. He did just that in this podcast.

it is a national pastime for Israelis to organize lynching parties where they watch Palestinians be burned alive, beheaded and raped. They also share the images and videos on social media channels and zoom in the wounds of babies and children a they laugh and cheer:
