Zohreh Shahriari, a 34-year-old teacher at the Minab school, tried for years to become a mother. Finally, her dream came true. Her baby was expected to be born in early June. Until February 28, when the US bombed her school multiple times, killing her and her unborn baby.

"Hopefully, Reuters, The Guardian + others who parroted the @OPCW falsehoods about a dissenting inspector will correct their errors" - I know a lot of MEP's in the European Parliament who owe Brendan Whealan an apology too. The OPCW lies about Syria have been exposed...

New: In blow to Syria cover-up, dissenting OPCW inspector wins case at international tribunal The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (@OPCW) has been ordered to pay damages to Dr. Brendan Whelan, a veteran inspector who challenged the manipulation of a chemical weapons probe in Douma, Syria. For the first time, Whelan tells the story of his years-long, Orwellian ordeal for justice. aaronmate.net/p/in-blow-to-s…

On the first day of the unprovoked US-Israeli War on Iran, the Pentagon launched a double-tap Tomahawk missile strike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab, obliterating the building and slaughtering 155 people — 120 of whom were small children With the Trump administration still refusing to acknowledge its role in the worst US military massacre since My Lai, The Grayzone’s @wyattreed13 went to Minab to investigate the scene of the crime firsthand

I am so heartbroken. Israel has just shot my 30-year-old aunt in the chest while she was sitting with her three young children in a school shelter in Jabalia Camp. She is in critical condition; the bullet pierced her chest and exited through her back, devastating her lungs and spleen. At the moment she was hit, she was holding her one-year-old son. He fell from her lap as she collapsed and was found bleeding from one of his ears. I just spoke with my uncle, who told me that Israel has been using subsonic bullets lately. He said his sister is the second mother in the camp to be shot in the chest today. Please pray for her and our family. Her husband was abducted by Israel in November 2024, and we still have no word on his condition.

In their campaign against the Assad regime in Syria, the legacy media insisted that it had used chemical weapons in Douma and pressure was put on the OPCW to confirm the fact asap so that Trump could launch a missile attack. A dissenting Inspector was sidelined, traduced and suspended. He fought back and won, clearing himself and exposing the OPCW for bowing to pressure. Seymour Hersh and others (including myself) had questioned the official version and were denounced. We were right. Dr Whelan was so right to fight back. What this shows, ofcourse, is that none of these supposedly objective organisations are what they claim to be and cave to Western pressures.

The OPCW censored a high-profile chemical weapons investigation in Douma, Syria. The OPCW team's censored findings undermined the allegation that the Syrian government used chemical weapons, the basis for US-UK-French airstrikes on Syria in April 2018. When the cover-up came to light, the OPCW leadership publicly attacked the dissenting inspectors who had challenged the cover-up. Establishment media went along by parroting the official narrative. After a years-long ordeal, one of the dissenting inspectors, Dr. Brendan Whelan, has won a major victory against the OPCW in arbitration. A rare moment of accountability in a longstanding deception.

At Minab's newest cemetery, I met a man who was among the first to get to the scene. Picking through the rubble, all he found were tiny disembodied hands and feet from the 120 children slaughtered by the US military with Tomahawk missiles. An unforgivable crime against humanity

Richard Nephew, who served as Biden’s Deputy Special Envoy for Iran, is a steadfast supporter of Trump's "maximum pressure" against Iran. Why? Because, he admits, lifting US sanctions would help Iran "overcome" its problems. Nephew opposes a grand bargain with Iran even if it could address all of the United States’ stated grievances. “Any deal that affords Iran widespread sanctions relief—even if it features hard limits on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, missile programs, and support for proxies,” Nephew writes, could give the Iranian government “a new lease on life.” Therefore, diplomacy must be opposed, with the ultimate aim “to get actual regime change.” Nephew is especially opposed to a peace deal because, he admits, US sanctions are the main source of Iran’s problems, and therefore the main engine of his desired regime change. If the US offers “comprehensive sanctions relief for Iran,” he writes, that “would help flood the country with enough money to overcome its legacy of mismanagement, corruption, and failed governance.” If the US lets Iran access enough money to resolve its problems, that in turn “might relieve popular pressure on the regime.” Better then continue putting pressure -- aka impoverishment -- on Iran's population.
