@MaddernBryan@SarahCeja03 A4) A tech tool that could have been incorporated into a school project is Book Trailer Project for the many book project done in Junior High and Highschool. This app lets you do a short video that persuades students to check out the books. #CSUBTED4200#CSUBTED@MaddernBryan
Question 4). Shout out to @SarahCeja03 for tonight's question! Remember to respond with A4) and be sure to tag #CSUBTED , #CSUBEDTE4200, and your EDTE 4200 professor.
@DaniAllen327@MaddernBryan@SarahCeja03@Duncannedd Absolutely agree!! Much better than spinning the big globe in the classroom trying to find place in the world! Google maps helps things come to life!
@MaddernBryan@Ststansberry@SarahCeja03 A4) One tech tool I feel would have enhanced and maybe even encouraged my love for math is something I see my kids using. It’s a video game called cool math games! I don’t like math, but putting it in game form would have helped me learn! #CSUBTED da#csubedte4200@doctor2pi
@Ststansberry@joceperezCSUB A3) Podcasts could be a great form of technology to help focus on ELL students. There are various podcasts to help students comprehend English. 6 Minute English is a great beginner podcast. They speak slowly and this specific podcast is interactive. #csubted@Duncannedd
Question 3). Let’s keep the chat going strong. Tonight’s question was written by @JoceperezCSUB. Make sure you respond with A3) before your response. Don't forget to tag #CSUBTED , #CSUBEDTE4200, and your EDTE 4200 professor.
@vvanessa_18@Ststansberry@joceperezCSUB@Duncannedd Hi Vanessa!! I was almost going to add Google translate to my post as well, but I ran out of room! I agree that having easy access to any language with Google translate is a must!
@Ststansberry@joceperezCSUB A3) I believe YouTube is a great resource to help strengthen our comprehension for our ELL students. Videos, especially with captions, are a great resource! You could pretty much find anything on YouTube in any language. #CSUBEDTE4200#CSUBTED@doctor2pi
@ILIANAG21@tom_karnes@doctor2pi@CsubMadelyns I agree, but I also realized how parents were also tech disadvantaged. Most parents didn’t know how to access the online material so they couldn’t help their children😢
@tom_karnes@doctor2pi@CsubMadelyns A2) There wasn’t a specific lesson but throughout distant learning we realized just how much technologically disadvantaged students were. Whether that was lack of technological resources or lack of knowledge when it came to technology. #csubedte4200#csubted@doctor2pi
Hey all...here is Tuesday's question 2 written by @CSUBMadelyns. Make sure you respond with A2) before your response. Don't forget to tag #CSUBTED , #CSUBEDTE4200, and your EDTE 4200 professor.
@Yulisamm18@tom_karnes@CsubMadelyns@Ststansberry Such a good point! I’m glad a lot of schools see the importance of providing chrome books to all students so no one feels left out and they are able to participate.
@tom_karnes@CsubMadelyns A2) A time that I remember when technology was integrated by the teacher was in high school. The teacher tried to play Kahoot with the class but many students did not have a cell phone. The game ended up canceled.
#csubedte4200#csubted@Ststansberry
@tom_karnes@doctor2pi@CsubMadelyns A2) The challenges we face with technology were mostly connectivity issues with zoom or canvas during the pandemic stay at home order. We’d be in the middle of a meeting or assignment when our device would disconnect or have another issue.😢 #csubted#csubedte4200@doctor2pi
@SabrinaMac1601 Hi @SabrinaMac1601 . I feel the same way about my class. This is really breaking me out of my shell. I haven't tried embedding my twitter just yet but I plan on trying it soon. @Duncannedd#csubedte4200
Yay!! I just learned how to embed my Twitter feed on my website! It was so easy! I’m thankful for my class for pushing me out of my comfort zone! #csubte4200#csubted
Welcome to @csubted's FALL 2021 Twitter Chat! We are excited to have students from across @CSUBakersfield's EdTech classes collaborate through twitter! Shout out to the C&I Masters program! Reply and introduce yourself. Tag your EDTE4200 professor! #csubted#csubedte4200#edtech
@Hef_ByHisGrace@doctor2pi@Duncannedd I haven’t used it as a teacher, only as a student, but I like the idea of using it as a discussion board when posing questions related to curriculum.
@Zion__20 I absolutely love ClassDojo as a parent. I was tasked to open up my own teacher account in my #CSUBEDTE4200 class, but haven't really been able to see it from a teachers perspective completely. I love how my kids can create their own personalized monsters. #CSUBTED@doctor2pi
The technology resource I have discovered that is innovative in the classroom is ClassDojo. This app allows me to effectively communicate with parents as well as track student's behaviors. It also allows me to show parents their child's progression throughout the year. #CSUBTed
@doctor2pi A1)One technology resource I have come to like is Pear Deck, they constantly build new activities that involve administration, students, and teachers. A great tool that evolves as the classroom does. #csubted#csubedte4200@tom_karnes
Being challenged everyday in my #csubedte4200 class! Being pushed outside my technology comfort zone, but I’m loving all the learning I’m accomplishing! #csubted
