New long-term data from #MADITCRT: In patients with mild heart failure, CRT‐D significantly reduces both the rate and duration of cardiovascular and HF-related hospitalizations compared to ICD alone. @VKutyifa @UR_Med @URMC_DeptMed @umichmedicine ahajrnls.org/4sGWMmp

Thought-provoking study suggesting to the best time for elective surg in pts w NSTEMI & DES is between 90-180 days. In pts w NSTEMI not revascularized, risk of MACCE/mortality did not level off -may be no benefit in waiting 60d (but higher risk w/i 30d) pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39475957/

Presence of AHFTC in OR at VAD implant=RV protective strategy. Dynamic discussions with CTS/Anesthesia on gtts, hemodynamics, rhythm Rx, optimal RPM. Enhances post-op care in CTICU knowing exactly what transpires in OR. Same for ♥️ Tx. Love being in OR with our surgeons.
