Someone with better technical quality, tighter control, cleaner first touch, more explosiveness, and better link-up play. And that was when Koundé was at his peak, let alone now... With all due respect, it feels like we're wasting Lamine's years with him. Messi had prime Dani Alves, Ronaldo had prime Marcelo, elite attacking full-backs who complemented their game perfectly. Lamine deserves something similar. The amount of pressure it will take off him, both in terms of defensive attention and positional freedom will be insane.
