Is #NZ Govt trying to soften up the public for a military operation in the Straits of #Hormuz? Its one-sided statements have never called out the initiators of the #warofchoice in the Gulf which led to the current impasse. Quickest way to open the Straits is to stop 🛑 the war.

Good to know that PM Luxon and Nicola Willis have been giving this some very serious thought, they spoke to someone overseas, had someone describe fuel, had someone else count how much is left, read about the war, pulled up a policy, looked around and took definitive action calling a press conference to describe all of the above.

@chrisluxonmp This action will only lead to more pain for Kiwis. The Strait was open for decades until the US and Israel sneak attacked Iran. Even a child can see who is to blame for our current situation and how your psychopathic, warmongering actions are guaranteed to make it worse.

Have Ministers considered basic measures such as: - Targeted fuel management esp. to stop hoarding & related price spikes - Decreasing speed limits - WFH - Public transport discounts Many countries started contingency management from the 10th March. NZ is already well behind
