yesterday, i mentioned that two pieces of advice changed my entire 2024. i will talk about them a bit. 1. “a shy person gets nothing” : this one resonates so much with me cos as an introvert, i naturally would miss out on a lot of opportunities because i was too shy to speak up or to ask or to talk to someone. moving forward, i decided to speak up more, ask the questions i wanted to, introduce myself to the people i wanted to talk to, start those conversations i would normally not have. this particular advice is directly tied to the second piece which is; 2. “whats the worst that could happen”: in almost all cases, the worst thing that could happen to you in pursuit of your goals is either failure or rejection. and so what, they said no, they rejected your proposal, they said the idea wasn’t good enough, so what?? i get up, hold on to the lessons learnt we keep moving… this has literally being my mindset since the beginning of this month and i hope to keep it up going into the new year. i also hope this would help someone else set outside their comfort zone as well.

Activist Rinu Ins¥lted Me and S+xualized My ‘Turns You On’ Comment— Delta Police PRO, Bright, Reacts The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, has expressed frustration over the public focus on his recent comment involving activist Rinu Oduala. Speaking on national television, Bright questioned why Nigerians were focused on his remark rather than the insult he claims was directed at him. “It is well. I am worried because nobody is talking about what Rinu said to me. It is very sad because police are human being too. Her statement to me was clearly insulting. Mine was only s+xualised by her. I never s+xualised the statement,” he said. He added that his decision to delete the post was due to public perception, not an admission of wrongdoing. “However, I took down the post because it was misinterpreted. I never made any s+xual statement,” he explained. Addressing the use of the phrase “turns you on” in the context of a r+pe situation, Bright maintained that his action was in response to public concern. “Obviously, we owe allegiance to Nigerians. If they felt the statement was out of line, there is nobody that needs to tell us to take it down. That was why I did it. But for Rinu, I don’t owe her any explanation,” he stated.

I just want to say that, up till now, I’ve not seen a clear picture of any man arrested in ozoro community. We know how the police and EFCC are always quick to display faces of alleged yahoo boys with 4k canon cameras.
