@atr0phis @JamesCOYP Potentially, the Traore gamble in ‘25 didn’t work out but 5-6 years of progression and the one complaint is not getting promoted ‘sooner’, could be a lot worse couldn’t it.

Feels like a big two weeks for us. Got to get some quality through the door, and sooner rather than later. The core of the squad feels good but IMO missing about 3 League One quality signings to make the squad feel complete. As well as better back ups in a couple of positions

@atr0phis @JamesCOYP That’s a bit of a straw man, he was head of recruitment for 5 years and in 5 consecutive years we improved in terms of league position/points across 3 managers, I don’t think that happens with decent recruitment - can’t judge him on what he hasn’t done yet, only on what he has

@Sadpie_1 @JamesCOYP Ok, he left later than I thought. Still stands that he left us struggling in our first season after promotion at a lower level and was an utter failure at champ level. No reason to think he has a clue what he’s doing at L1 level.

@CheezyNCFC @_18SixtyTwo Exactly the same could have been said 12 months ago, not claiming last summer was ideal even in hindsight but does suggest people can put too much stock in things that happen in July.

@_18SixtyTwo You hate to admit it but the reality is it has all the early hallmarks - Star players supposedly unhappy/leaving, unproven recruitment at this level, squad still paper thin, seemingly being entirely unprepared for the season with time running out. Stark contrast from Wembley joy.

@JamesCOYP Zero faith in Montague. Last summer window with us we finished 14th in L2. Then went to Swans and achieved nothing. Huge mistake to bring him back.

@KRennicks40 @PhilUranuss Our best player left (Ruben), we replaced him, Langstaff went and we replaced him, then Didzy… I won’t be happy when Jodi leaves obviously but we’ve progressed by letting big names go fairly consistently for 6 years. The key of course is that we’ve adequately replaced them.

@Official_NCFC I really don’t get the comments on the striker situation, we aren’t starting the season with Ndlovu, Iwunze and Acquah up top. If Jatta stays we’ll have him but if he doesn’t then we will have money to spend

@TomBobbyNcfc love him and he was the best player on the pitch by miles at Wembley but he’s got a year left, had injuries and has jumped 2 divisions, surely people can accept the club being tentative if he’s asking for a long term deal with a decent wage increase?
