@TommySligo Correct. They were given exemption when the 50+1 rule was introduced due to having financed the clubs - at all levels - for over 20 years beforehand.

Dortmund 2, Bayern 3, fabulous game. Bundesliga the best fan experience in Europe. Under the rules, clubs are minimum 51% owned by fans…..it’s a great model.

@THFCKels @ROTS1882 @NFFC Better still. Metal ones. Locked upright, so they can't be stood on. Seen here in Scotland, Germany, Hungary and Sweden.

@ROTS1882 @NFFC So the solution isn't safe standing, it's better seats.......?

@PnoTuna @SwindonSA @RedsssSeaside @CamelSaunders @pieman80 It's probably above 25 degrees on some places. 25 is the limit for a conventional terrace, and is what caused some confusion around the time of safe standing's introduction. However, "licensed standing in seated areas" is treated for this purpose as seating, so 35 degrees apply.

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming football fan Jon Darch to the Wham Stadium! 🤝 Jon is “Doing the 92” in style and we were proud to be his 65th stop. 📽️ Accrington Stanley fan Stephen Lowe caught up with @SafeStandingRS in the 1968 Lounge. #IndustryAndPrudenceConquer

Following the news that @BristolCity CEO Tom Rawcliffe will be leaving the club, we want to wish him well. From our Chair Teresa Short: "We are sorry to see Tom Rawcliffe leave his role as CEO of Bristol City and thank him for his work at the club over the past five years..."

@davidjaca @djg23 Increased capacity & thus the possibility of lower ticket prices were indeed among the aspirations of campaigning fans, hoping that the German model (seen in the photo) might be followed. The Emirates certainly has the space on the seating rows to do this. No law prohibits it.

@djg23 Yeah, likely would've been. Followed what clubs are doing/saying and many fan groups expected cheaper tickets - club then says not case (Newcastle, Brighton for example). Wembley bumped SS up from £72 to £97 over a year for instance. It's more fan exploitation, ultimately.

Maybe I’m imagining it, but one of the things that was pushed with safe standing was that it would increase capacity and stop price increases wasn’t it?

@Teeserv2 @Palace120462 At present, at grounds in England previously subject to the all-seater rules the safety authority's policy is that it should be strictly 1 fan per safe standing seat. However, there is no law or regulation that imposes this restriction, and policies can, of course, change.

@romysdad @LodzGreen @adi_mowles @ChazMcPosh @davidwapples The rule (for clubs that didn't have to go all-seater in 1994) is that after a club has spent an aggregate of 3 seasons at tier two level or above between 1994 and the present day, that club must - unless granted an exception - go all-seater prior to its 4th season at that level.

I’m confused. We are shutting the LRE as a trial for the Port Vale game, but then you can also buy a season ticket in there for next season… What are we trialling exactly? #pufc

@EFCBinghamBoy @James_UTFT @efc_cain Rail seating / safe standing is allowed at up to the maximum gradient for standard seating, i.e. 35 degrees. Conventional open terracing is limited to 25 degrees.

@James_UTFT @efc_cain It can be allowed using rail seats like we have at the front. Tottenham have rail seats at the back of their South Stand I think. Its having terrace style safe standing in a steep stand that isnt allowed.

Shame the top image wasn’t the chosen design, would have been way better imo to have it safe standing all the way to the top

@GoonerFrog @DarrenArsenal1 I'm surprised only by "2027". Nearly all PL clubs now provide safe standing & the safety authorities have urged all to do so. I'd have thus thought it might happen sooner. But in what form? Metal rail seats, plastic rail seats, or barriers? Seats loose or held up out of the way?

@faircityunity When talking to clubs about rail seats, I often encourage them to sound out fans about contributing to the cost. So, I'm delighted to see the FCU group at @StJohnstone raising funds for their rail seats. I hope fans of other clubs will chip in too, as many did at @shrewsburytown.

@Gre9orypeck09 @JFatality_x @KUEFC My understanding is that the wording of that statement is incorrect. I understand there to be no need for any change in legislation (it has already happened). Instead the safety authority’s policy needs to change.

@JFatality_x @KUEFC Our stadium expansion is only possible IF the government change the current legislation on safe standing which is very unlikely.
