Bread is essential. Homemade hamburger buns, made from unbleached organic flour combined with SuperSprout organic whole wheat from Lindley Mills, in NC, seasoned with Dan-O's Crunchy. The grass-feed ground beef has been mixed with green onions and salt and is resting a bit, while hubby is firing up the Kamado Joe. Homemade fries coming up. We are grateful for the sacrifice of the heroes of this country. They are essential for who we get to be today.

After dinner & 3 hours of playing Rook (card game) ... Guest: "Welp. Gotta head to the house" Dad: "What's your hurry?" Guest: "Billy's got softball in the mornin' ..." Dad: "Well y'all don't need to rush off." (We kids knew the night was still young. We'd seen this routine many times.) Cuz the adults would talk at the table for another 45 minutes. Then proceed to the door & talk more. Then continue talking outside. Finally, once the guest car was populated & started ... they'd roll down the window to carry on for another 15. After the 1.5 hour goodbye, and we were back inside ... Dad: "I thought they'd never leave." Every. Single. Time. ☺️

Orthodoxy is on the ropes right now thanks to the OrthoBros, anons, inquirers, catechumens and recent converts. Say what you want about protestants, but we know better than to let babes in the faith become the faces of our church. Once these guys have finished consuming your churches like locusts, they'll just move on to something else.
