if your skill depends on dynamic content, you can embed !`command` in your SKILL.md to inject shell output directly into the prompt Claude Code runs it when the skill is invoked and swaps the placeholder inline, the model only sees the result!

@Waffl3x Yeah, i don't get their reaction meta programming in general is never a good "sight" to someone who is unfamiliar, this isn't unique to C++

@penberg @rhatr @jussisaur Yeah, i think the point is that it's faster whilst being also cheaper so its overall "better"

@rhatr @jussisaur Yes, Peter Steinberger for example keeps making the point all the time that Codex is better

I have been trying out Codex recently because people like @jussisaur keep saying good things about it. I honestly don't see a major difference to Claude Code. Am I doing something wrong?

@SahazelXI @uwukko What the fuck 😅😅 When I said I'm not based in India, my country flag shows in my profile, joker. But you moron, you live in a country that doesn't show clearly on the world map, and you're the one giving tags about who's wrong and who's right.

@SahazelXI @dreamsofcode_io Look i agree it's nice to give back but that doesn't mean you should always expect me to do so or that it is bad faith id i don't I can fork linux kernel today and add an agentic bs thing to it and sell it as ainix nobody would give a damnn about it. Cuz it's open source

@Shreyassanthu77 @dreamsofcode_io I agree with you that there's no obligation to upstream, but that negates the "collaboration" part of the open-source spirit. Having no obligation doesn't mean you shouldn't be an upstanding citizen and contribute lol

@SahazelXI @dreamsofcode_io yes because I have every right to do so? It's MY choice to do it it's not an obligation and you forcing me to do it is the complete opposite of what open source spirit is

@Shreyassanthu77 @dreamsofcode_io it really depends on the concerned parties here but since cf and vercel has this weird rivalry going on , one can just assume they don't want to help each other and it prob explains why he was upset (doesn't excuse it)

@Shreyassanthu77 @dreamsofcode_io You have every right to do that, just as you have every right to pass someone in need and not help :/ if you can benefit from a tool that someone made and many else contributed to, why not decide to actually contribute those really fancy changes you made?

@Shreyassanthu77 @dreamsofcode_io this can go both ways Yeah the vercel guy prob just wanted to bring down the cf guy, but you could argue cf stance on this is not any better

@Shreyassanthu77 @dreamsofcode_io I'm not talking about this vercel situation specifically but the open source spirit is to bring everybody together and work on one thing there is no obligation to contribute to the upstream but it's bad faith to just swoop a product and put it under your org

@Shreyassanthu77 @dreamsofcode_io it has some sense to it, it would be better to contribute and invest in the actual product/tool in the spirit of open source than just forking and putting it under @.cloudflare/thing Now ik the guys in vercel didn't like it because it's just cloudflare but they have a point

They used to release a new JavaScript framework every month; now they're releasing a new agents orchestrating tool every day.

@Waffl3x @12abbits @Dengekichan Nah, I do. I did say that machine or bad translations ruin the whole experience, and localization is included. But AI won’t solve this, they have no artistic sense for literature.

@Waffl3x @12abbits @Dengekichan As someone who reads translated novels more often than not, I’ve got to say (machine/bad) translations are so bad that they really put you off. Sometimes localization/translation do wonders
