You've kept your tongue dried again. Keep saying this; Allāhu Akbar, Allāhu Akbar, Lā ilāha illallāhu Wallāhu Akbar, Allāhu Akbar, Wa lillāhil-Hamd.

you think you are not being punished for your sins, yet you have been deprived of Qiyām Layl, your daily portion of the Qur’an, and the goodness of these blessed 10 days. you have been deprived of nawaafil, sadaqah and it's difficult for you to even repeat the takbeer. your heart has been sealed but you are unaware because you're not afflicted in your worldly affairs. punishment, sometimes, is being deprived from worshipping Allāh.

sadaqah done in the first ten days of dhul-hijjah is very huge. spend as much as possible on those who need it. and please, consider your families first.

When dunya starts looking too permanent, and the heart seems to getting deeply settled into it, remember this reality from Allah: وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ “And the worldly life is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion.” (Surah Aal-Imran 3:185)

What you avoid controls you; what you face frees you.

yā Allāh, i want wealth that benefits me and benefits people. wealth that brings generosity and comfort. i want provision that is halal and expansive. wealth that feeds the hungry, lifts burdens, supports my family and friends, strengthens the ummah, and leaves behind goodness long after i'm gone. and i ask You for a heart that remains humble no matter how much i attain!
