@MB4930 @JakeArthurNFL He may very well become the next TY Hilton (and I'd love that) but banking on that going into a season isn't the right approach.

@JakeArthurNFL This isn’t me being hyperbolic because the draft was 48 hours ago. But, we’ve seen this movie before. At 5’10 and 180 pounds with 4.3 speed. Deion Burks! If you’re not getting TY Hilton flashbacks, I mean come on. Plus, he put up 26 reps on the bench. He works!

My guess is that Downs and Pierce take the outside in 12 personnel, and currently, Pierce and Dulin outside in 11 personnel, with Downs in the slot.
SahranisWorld@SahranisWorld

@JakeArthurNFL Open question, who's the #2 WR? Downs has been primarily in the slot and likely too small and Dulin has been a backup his entire career.

@KBowen1070 Doesn't make sense why Steichen wouldn't give Leonard more reps in practice this past week in anticipation of Indy being out of it

@vulpixsi @SahranisWorld @zachbussey Then either: A) Make content on other platforms mainly youtube then call of action them back to your twitch stream. OR B) actually make the attempt to make those connections. I grinded so hard to get to a point that people would be willing to raid me with over 100-200 viewers

Twitch is making it easier to achieve Partner. They've reduced the number of streams needed from 8 per month (for two months) to 6 per month (for two months).

@QuickShorTt @zachbussey Definitely not easy but not quite as difficult now as raid viewers count towards the 75. It used to not count unless those viewers refreshed their browser.

@JakeArthurNFL There's probably more to this; it sounds like AR may have ways to go as far as work ethic and consistency off the field as well.

Steichen said something not everyone sees is Jones' work ethic, the way he connects with his teammates, and the operation of the offense in the huddle and at the line.

@HolderStephen AR was never going to be as good as DJ operationally right now with such limited snaps in his college and pro career. That was an impossible goal for him. His best shot was to show marked improvement (which he did) and grow. He won't get that opportunity here.

Chris Ballard was adamant to me in a convo this summer that no matter what happens this season — whether Anthony Richardson starts or not — the team is not giving up on him. The patience the Colts didn't have early with AR, they're doubling down on now: nytimes.com/athletic/65234…

@JakeArthurNFL This is a hard cut from AR; basically, figure out if DJ is their long-term answer or not (which would be an unexpected, drastic improvement). If not, draft the next QB. AR isn't going to get better riding the bench; he needs playing time, which he won't get (barring an injury).

@HolderStephen It would be odd to arbitrarily stunt AR's growth, as it seems the light is starting to turn on for him, for a QB that has likely hit his ceiling and won't win you a championship, nor likely get you deep in the playoffs.

@HolderStephen What would be odd in that case is that we all expected Jones to be a better operator (despite the new system) early on. He's entering his 7th year. The better strategy is to push AR to hit his ceiling vs. who is a better 'operator' esp at this point. We want a better overall QB.

Let me try to elaborate on my earlier tweet indicating I think Daniel Jones is closer to winning this job than some might imagine. Daniel Jones has not outplayed Anthony Richardson in practice or the preseason. I don't think any objective person would disagree. But... (more)

@JakeArthurNFL The Colts wanted to see marked improvement by AR. All indications are that this has been his best camp (and by no means great, but good/better). If they're close to even, the Colts should go with AR to maximize his growth and start to scratch his ceiling.

@HolderStephen 1. The Colts wanted to see marked improvement by AR. All indications are that this has been his best camp (and by no means great, but good/better). 2. Philosophically, if they're close to even, why wouldn't the Colts go with AR to continue his growth and get him snaps?

I think the people ruling it out are jumping the gun. This is just my educated opinion based on many things.

@HolderStephen There’s no realistic situation where Daniel Jones is the week 1 starter, right?

@KBowen1070 Thank you for your in-depth coverage of training camp! A bit unrelated, but has anyone asked Chris Ballard about Morocco Brown and why there was a change made there? Seemed abrupt, and I don't recall information provided.
