I think NELFUND should be scrapped. Since we all want a system where only those who can afford school upfront get educated, or one where opportunity is never extended, even if repayment comes later. That LAUTECH boy is a practical example of what access can do. Talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not. Schemes like this attempt to close that gap. Nobody is saying NELFUND is perfect. No public policy ever is at the early stage. But dismissing it outright simply because it is a loan misses the bigger picture.

Earlier this year, I sponsored 10 secondary school students for JAMB and those who have seen their results, have done excellently well. The least score was 250/400 and the highest so far is 314/400😃 In another news, one of the beneficiaries of my annual law school scholarship for first class students also made a first class from law school in the recently released bar final results. This is one of the ways I use my Elon’s ads revenue and I am hopeful that many more brilliant students will benefit from it.

Good morning Mr @sowore , I really respect the energy you bring to pushing for a better system and your fight against oppression. 👏🏽 When you’re done with MTN, please shine your spotlight, with the same burning fire of passion to this side. We have been raising our voices against fake and counterfeit foods, drugs, and beverages. This one is personal for majority of Nigerians. It’s crazy that people are out here producing fake baby food, fake cancer drugs, fake cosmetics, even fake alcoholic drinks… like how do you even get that wicked? All that wickedness for what? Honestly, in my opinion, this needs even more attention than MTN. And maybe if you step into it with your reach, more voices will join and we can collectively start calling out these mass murderers hiding in plain sight. Because, that’s exactly what they are. Yours, A fan.

Na you say make we show you oo First attempts presidential candidate that did not win but surpass peter obi vote Olu Falae (1999) 11,110,287 Muhammadu Buhari (2003) 12,710,022 Others who have also beaten it but not first attempt Muhammadu Buhari (2011) 12,214,853 Atiku Abubakar (2019) 11,262,978 So 6.1M is not unprecedented. Others crossed that mark long before 2023.

@Goldenmarvin1 @egi_nupe No,considering his wave of publicity from 2023 to present, at least a commissioner or LGA chairman or a contractor that executed a job during his time as Governor should say something about him...but none has come out to say anything, +or-.The fact remains that he is not a leader

All over the world, people who rule the world today are people who have held one or many positions before. Even if it’s not active participation, are you telling me it’s completely okay for almost everybody who governed with you for 8years not to come out to publicly support you even if not for the reason of wanting to secure an appointment if you win? Do you know how many people work with a Governor for 4years not to talk of a whole 8years? No! Something is fundamentally wrong!
Golden marvin(chocolate zaddy)@Goldenmarvin1

@egi_nupe Sometimes it's ok for people to finish working for public offices and disappear, I personally don't like people that try to hang around power for a very long time. It changes people.

I held this perspective firmly in 2023 as we spent funds supporting the likes of the Okada Rider Hon. Donatus Mathew, Hon.Thaddeus Atta, Sen. Ireti Kingibe, Sen. Neda Imasuen & others I ❤️you Aisha, but young Nigerians, use this money to develop yourself or start a business. You want to serve 🇳🇬 ? Build your own wealth or get your friends to fund your election. Avoiding political discussions, just had to give good advice 🙏🏾 NEVER AGAIN!
Aisha Yesufu@AishaYesufu

The thinking that candidates are supposed to use their money to run for election is the biggest setback we have politically! When candidates use their monies, is it election or business? When a godfather pays, is it election or ownership? We often wonder why politicians get into office and focus on self rather than the people. Well, it is because often they funded themselves and have to recoup or answerable to their godfathers to pay back! We must put our money where our votes are, if we truly want to have full control as citizens! Small donors must be the ones funding campaigns of politicians! Consider it your political sadaqah/tithes!

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Hours after the Islamabad talks collapsed, Trump shares an article about his "trump card": a full naval blockade of Iran, the same strategy he used to weaken Venezuela before Maduro's ouster. A naval blockade would choke off all remaining Iranian trade, not just oil, and could be enforced by the three carrier strike groups already in the region. But Iran isn't Venezuela. Venezuela had no ability to close an international shipping lane. Iran still controls the Strait of Hormuz and just promised to continue "sacred defense by any means necessary." A blockade of Iran could trigger a counter-blockade of the Strait, which would take the global economy from crisis to catastrophe. The Venezuela playbook worked because Maduro had no leverage. Iran has the most important chokepoint on earth. Blockading a country that can blockade you back is a very different game.

🚨🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran's message after the talks collapsed: We're not in a hurry. You are. Fars News, citing an unnamed official: "Until the U.S. agrees to a reasonable deal, there will be no change in the situation of the Strait of Hormuz." But Iran's FM spokesman offered a more measured take. He confirmed the two sides actually agreed on some points, with Hormuz being the main obstacle. And then the most pragmatic statement to come out of Tehran since the war started: "We should have never expected to reach a deal in one session. We will continue to work to bring the two views closer together." That's two very different signals from the same government on the same day. The security establishment says no movement on Hormuz. The diplomatic establishment says keep talking. Iran can afford to wait. Oil above $100 generates revenue. Hormuz control generates leverage. Time pressure works against Washington, not Tehran. Every day the Strait stays restricted, American consumers pay more at the pump and Trump's midterm math gets worse and worse. Vance's "final and best offer" is on the table. Iran isn't rejecting it. It's letting it sit there while the clock does all the work for them. Source: Fars News, IRNA

My wife's family calls themselves everyday! I mean everyday. Brother calling sister, mum and dad speaking to everyone every single day. My own family na Giran! If there's no cause then there's no point. We only call each other when it's necessary. When we got married, she was like you've not spoken to my parents this month - hehehehe 😂 I said what's the occasion? She was are you not supposed to call to greet? I said I've not greeted my dad in 3 months Now she calls and hands me the phone, I greet them well and return the phone. Everyone knows we are from different backgrounds but the love they have for & me for them is everlasting. Anytime I am around them na balling from dawn to dusk but that call to greet, e hard me baje baje. So my sister, call them and hand your good husband the phone he will greet them well.
