@Saillte

Old, straight, white man. A relic of a bygone era. I happily grew up eating sugary cereals, peanut butter sandwiches, and playing outside in the dirt.

@JigglyPants44 This graphic can also be interpreted to show that left-wing accounts have moved to Bluesky because they don't like having discussions with individuals who hold different views.

@gator_gum You realize that not all ICE members are armed officers, right? The same as not all CBSA members aren't...

There is absolutely no reason for ICE to be in Canada. Absolutely none.

@gator_gum For once I agree with you. We need our own version. The CBSA and RCMP are useless. Overwhelmed after eleven years of Liberal ineptitude. Looking at this list of incompetent fools.

@robbskidmore I find that a few bands from that era stand the test of time: Alice In Chains Soundgarden Collective Soul Blues Traveler Oasis To me, they just seemed to have more depth.

Nirvana’s music does not stand the test of time. But the Smashing Pumpkins does. So ultimately Billy Corgan won out against Kurt Cobain. Nirvana was hugely popular but I never listen to it anymore. I find Smashing Pumpkins more musical and listenable. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is a truly great album. Nirvana’s best was probably Unplugged. What say you @batcountry1980 ?

@gator_gum Or maybe, just maybe, it's because left-wing accounts ran to Bluesky because they don't like hearing opinions that differ from theirs.

@guyfelicella You could just as easily say that this graphic demonstrates how many left-wing accounts left X because they don't like hearing other points of view.

@CHCHNews These "many Canadians" clearly don't understand the consequences. I would suggest that these same people think that if Canada joins the EU, it somehow "sticks it to Trump".

Prime Minister Mark Carney had cheers so loud " Carney, Carney!" you couldn't even hear the announcers speak!! Amazing!! The true patriotic love for the Prime Minister of Canada!!

@JigglyPants44 You live in Ottawa, so you are well aware of the "Hot Mess Express" that the LRT is. It's not unreasonable to be cautious of any infrastructure project, especially at an estimated cost of $100 million per kilometer.

@SuburbanPolly You can't believe an internal financial statement from the company getting the contract. That is stunningly naive.

@Cherniak Ford has lost my vote. I know I'm just one person, but my next vote will go to @NewBlueON. If Ford is losing support of his base because he's too left wing, why would those people vote Liberal?

Doug Ford is losing support and the Ontario Liberals are catching up. Ford is so scared that he is joking about becoming Liberal and calling for a Mark Carney majority just to bask in the glow. Suddenly, the Ontario Liberal Leadership is looking more attractive. This can only mean one thing: more potential candidates are going to consider the job. In my view, Ontario Liberals need to be careful to not get carried away. None of this changes the facts that I have mentioned before: 1. We have not had a leader in the legislature since Kathleen Wynne was premier in 2018. 2. Two highly respected and well-known politicians were unable to beat Ford or even win a seat as leader when they were out of the legislature. 3. The next leader needs to be somebody who is prepared to do the hard work and rebuild the party at the grassroots level. 4. The next leader needs to be somebody who appeals in the 905 region. 5. If Doug Ford were a Liberal, he would be properly funding healthcare and education. He is not, and he never will! I urge Ontario Liberals to remember these facts as the leadership race goes on. I also encourage perspective candidates to consider these facts before deciding that they want to be the shiny new leader. Premier is not an easy prize for the taking. #onpoli

@marissenmark Quite frankly, taxpayers can't afford the $100 million per kilometer price tag that we know will go billions over budget. Trudeau spent billions on his DEI foreign aid pet projects, and billions were sent to Ukraine, not to mention our trade war with the US. Train or healthcare?

I just came back from a trip to Japan. The Japanese could figure out how to provide their citizens high speed rail. There’s no reason why we can’t. Don’t let Pierre Poilievre deny Canadians high speed rail. If we need help and advice from the Japanese, let’s get it.

@haatley @guyfelicella Yes, the increased seizures are due to more resources from CBSA being allocated due to an increase in illicit trucking practices from Punjabi transportation companies. It is concerning.

@haatley @guyfelicella Yes. As I stated in my first post. It's naive to think drugs go one way. If you look at my second post, it clearly states Canada's main export markets are Australia and New Zealand. It doesn't mean none goes to the US, which is why it uses the word "increasingly".

@haatley @guyfelicella It's not the 1990s anymore. Canada is known worldwide by law enforcement as a major source country for methamphetamine and fentanyl. The trend began in the 2020s a few years after the visa restrictions were lifted for Mexicans.

@guyfelicella We will see more of this after Margarita Island was essentially shut down. Fentanyl and meth still continue to be a major export for Canada. We import cocaine because we can't set up super Labs here to create it
