No matter who they are, be they friend, wife/husband or whoever, NEVER KEEP A SECRET THAT CAN DAMAGE YOU WITH ANYONE Humans can go from sweet and tender to callous and villainous in an instant, provided the right variable/motivation is introduced. I have seen divorce proceedings and I've seen friends turned enemies. I've seen people come on social media to spill unforgivable secrets about someone they held so close and dear. There's a Yorùbá statement: Àgbẹ̀ kìí roko roko kó má dàá ewé kan sí. Meaning: No matter how much a farmer weeds, he would surely spare a plant or two. You know why? The plants he spared will save him someday. Those plants may cure headache or runny nose or so. Similarly, the secrets you spare will save you one day too. I'm not saying you shouldn't trust people.
