Genuinely, the patience to wait for great trades isn’t easy to come by. If you crave action, you’ll find a way to justify taking almost anything. I’d like to pretend I honed this discipline over years of work on myself… but that’s largely bs. I have patience because I don’t particularly enjoy this job and don’t wake up wanting to trade. Each day I look at the markets and ask two questions: “Is there anything so good I’d feel like a fucking idiot not taking it?” “If I take this at X with a stop at Y, will I be gobsmacked if I’m stopped out?” If yes to both, I take the trade. If not, I pass. It’s important to me that no one takes my fucking money easily.

@DodgysDD It takes a couple months to learn an edge. It takes a couple years to learn how to properly trade using that edge.

I thought I was a profitable daytrader after a year Then I wasn’t Then I thought I was a profitable day trader after 2 years Then I wasn’t Then 3 years And it really wasn’t from year 4-6 I can actually honestly say I am truly profitable Daytrading is slow money man lol

As 2025 finishes up, remember. Find an edge in the market that you relate to, Extensively study your edge, Manage risk and don’t be a dumbass. Consistency isn’t as difficult as most put it out to be. The competition is at an all time low.

Hidden Sequential SMT (HSSMT) tCISD Entry Many ask how to define a tCISD when HSSMT appears. Same logic: the candle that creates HSSMT = tCISD. If it’s bullish in a bullish SSMT, use the recent bearish candle. If bearish in a bearish SSMT, use the recent bullish candle.

You can always look back and you will. But matters not, because only NOW exists. Reflecting of previous actions and exploring the things that you did(or still do) is the only thing that should interest a human to look back.
