As the World Cup Begins Without Nigeria As the World Cup begins today across three nations, I identify with our teeming football followers and urge them not to be despondent that Nigeria is not participating, despite the abundant talent in our land. Our failure to participate on the global stage is not due to a deficit of talent; it is a direct consequence of a deficit in leadership, planning, and institutional support. The task of building a better Nigeria rests primarily on the shoulders of the younger generation. Do not watch the World Cup with despair; rather, see it as a reminder of where Nigeria ought to be. We must move our country from being a nation of mere consumers of global entertainment to a nation of proud producers and competitors. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

It is an aberration that Nigeria, as a country, is not at the World Cup. This is solely a failure of leadership, which we intend to fix in 2027 through our collective resolve to vote out this incompetent government that has denied millions of Nigerians the joy of travelling to watch the World Cup and participating in the tournament.

Last night, I had an interview with Arise TV, where I sympathised with our aspirants over some noticeable irregularities in our just-concluded primaries. I noted that, while not claiming that the exercise was perfect, I urged all of them to bear with the party in view of the circumstances we are managing, which have overwhelmed even bigger parties. This includes parties with a sitting President, 33 Governors, and control of political structures in most states, in the case of the APC, and even the ADC, which is over two years old. I made the case that we are just four months old and have been thrown into the middle of a very tight electoral timeframe, within which we had to carry out membership registration, congresses up to the national convention, primaries up to the national convention, appeal processes, and now the reconciliation phase. I identified the root cause of these challenges, my views on the Electoral Act have been clear: the APC-led majority were wrong in foisting compulsory direct primaries on political parties and the country. Complaints about irregularities in direct primaries are pervasive across all parties and are not peculiar to the NDC. As a matter of fact, considering the age of the NDC and the teeming number of aspirants we have had to manage, we have done quite well. For months since the formation of the NDC, I have been building confidence and receiving respected politicians into its fold. Since the primaries I have been attending to people and managing disagreements across the country on a daily basis. The NDC is on the ascendancy, and I thank Nigerians for their trust and confidence in our party. Even these challenges, which are not peculiar to us, will pass. I also noted that no party has announced any set of winners from its primaries, and neither has the NDC. The public should disregard any such claims in circulation, especially on social media, and await the party's formal submissions through the appropriate channels. The results of party primaries are not announced like school results; they are communicated through formal channels. I thank all our members for their abiding support. In anticipation of these challenges, the 2nd NEC meeting, held a few days ago, approved the composition of a Reconciliation Committee to work with state caucus leaders and other stakeholders in managing grievances. As I have stated before, this is our first set of primaries, and it will also be the last to be conducted manually. The next primaries will be technologically driven and will have none of these issues. I thank all supporters of our party, which has no government officials and is entirely self-funded. I appreciate their donations, contributions, and sacrifices made on behalf of the party. They remain valuable members of our party regardless of the outcome of the primaries. We are in this together, and we are all committed to ensuring the success of our party and our presidential team, their Excellencies Peter Obi and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who are my colleagues in this project. This success must be managed carefully, with everyone working together. I advise all members and supporters to avoid meaningless quarrels and infighting. Everyone should support our candidates, from the Presidency down to the least elective office. I urge all the stakeholders, caucus leaders and other leaders in various states who coordinated the primaries to take responsibility and step up their game in terms of coordiating the reconciliation process. Most of the candidates are persons backed and recommended by them, and not me nor the national leadership of the party. It is not a time to shift blames or dodge responsibilities. Since they midwifed and managed the process of the primaries, they should equally help in supporting the party in coordinating the reconciliation process, of which they have the support of the party. ~HSD

Dear Senator Henry Seriake Dickson @iamHSDickson While I take my time to properly address your allusion of me not playing by the rules which I consider very disingenuous seeing how I followed the process and even when you had insisted there would be no primaries for senate I let things go and asked my teeming supporters to focus on the bigger picture, I toured the FCT pacifying my supporters and party people who rightfully felt disrespected as they were all waiting at their respective headquarters for primaries that never happened.  (I played field politics, I never waited for anyone to give me ticket), I would like you as the National leader to watch this video again! This part of the interview was so painfully appalling to watch. It looked as if you were insecure and in competition with your Presidential Candidate. Your first one on one interview after primaries and instead of selling your candidates and giving confidence to people on how set the road to winning the 2027 election was, you made it about yourself. With all due respect sir, it looks as if you consider the NDC a Special Purpose Vehicle whose aim has been achieved just by being registered instead of a Political Party whose aim is to win the 2027 General election decisively!!!! The registration of NDC should be a means to an end and not an end in itself. As a leader of a Political party, your number one job in that interview was to pacify aspirants many of whom are rightfully aggrieved and secondly to call on supporters to bear with the party and support it but you ended up antagonising the very people you would need to win election. Every vote counts! A leader must stoop to conquer! No one can take away your leadership of NDC, no one is interested in that! The focus is on Nigeria is winning the 2027 election! It looked as if you are fighting a war no one is waging with you. You don't have anything to prove to anyone, just lead! It is also interesting how as a leader i see you shifting the blame with any process that doesn't go well or is called out. Even in this statement below, you did! Take all responsibility! The party is young. It was overwhelmed. Mistakes will be made. Accepting the mistakes and being accountable is how the party will get better. There is a whole battle ahead of us. Rescuing Nigeria from the current state it is in, should be the main focus not people's fragile ego! Let me round up with some words from Jim Rohn: IF WHAT YOU DID YESTERDAY IS STILL LOOKING BIG TO YOU TODAY, THEN YOU ARE NOT DOING ENOUGH!!!

One day we will know what Peter Obi did to Kenneth Okonkwo that really upset the guy but for now... I want to ask. Why is it that that despite all the thing Kenneth has said, continues to say against Peter Obi, the Obidient movement do not disparage him and insult him like they do Pastor E A Adeboye? You see Pastor Adeboye has never said anything that remotely attacks Peter Obi or his ferocious base. Yet every two market days, you will see most of the loafers attacking the man. I published an article titled, "My greatest Sympathy for RCCG Yoruba Obidients" and everyday, that story seems to update itself. It's almost a year old article but if you read it today, it is as fresh as today's bread. Why does the Obidient movement love to attack Pastor Adeboye and not Kenneth Okonkwo? Is it because Peter Obi paid and told them what to do? Or, and is it because of Adeboye's tribe? © Mercy.

Peter Obi: Do You Still Insist On Nigeria Emulating The Indonesian Economy On Monday, February 10, 2025, and several times afterwards, Mr. Peter Obi praised the Indonesian economy as a model for Nigeria and severely criticised His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu's handling of the Nigerian economy. Since that time, and as reported by several financial and economic publications, including the Financial Times and the Spectator Index, the Indonesian Rupiah has depreciated heavily against the US Dollar, losing almost 20% of its value, and going from Rp 16,173 to $1 in February of 2025, to Rp 18,063 to $1 today, Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Additionally, the Indonesian Rupiah was officially rated as Asia's "worst performing major currency" by Bloomberg, after it sank to a record low, forcing the Indonesian Central Bank to raise interest rates by 25 basis points to stop the free fall of its currency. Furthermore, Indonesia has experienced a quarter-on-quarter GDP contraction of -0.77% in the first quarter of 2026. In contrast, the Nigerian economy under His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, has experienced twelve uninterrupted cycles of GDP growth and trade surpluses. Added to this is the fact that the Nigerian Naira, which traded against the US Dollar at ₦1,565 to $1 on Monday, February 10, 2025, when Peter Obi criticised Nigeria and praised Indonesia, has increased in value by 12.1% and now averages ₦1,365 today. The Naira was also listed by FXTM as the second-best-performing currency in Africa for the first quarter of 2026, trailing only the Zambian kwacha. Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund listed Nigeria as the sixth-largest contributor to global GDP growth in 2025. This is even as Anna Bjerde, the World Bank's Managing Director of Operations, said that "Nigeria is now frequently cited globally as an example of steady, credible reform leadership." This comes as Nigeria's economy has grown by $67 billion in two years, rising from a GDP of ₦269.29 trillion on May 29, 2023, when Asiwaju became President, to ₦372.8 trillion after the economy was rebased last year. So, my question to Mr. Peter Obi is this: Sir, do you still insist that Nigeria emulate the Indonesian economy? This is not an attack on the Republic of Indonesia, a great and proud nation, with which the Federal Republic of Nigeria enjoys an excellent relationship. The purpose of this is simply to inform Nigerians of the true state of their economy vis-à-vis what was said by Mr Peter Obi, a Presidential candidate in Nigeria, so that they can make a factual and honest assessment of Nigeria's economic well-being. This is NOT a political post but one that will teach in 3 minutes what many people spend millions to hear in Business Schools. The Lagos State Government led by His Excellency Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu recently invited the Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti to be a part of his investment summit, Invest Lagos 3.0. Invest Lagos 3.0 is a major investment summit hosted by the Lagos State Government in partnership with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC). The primary goal of the investment summit is to position Lagos as Africa’s premier commercial hub and gateway to global trade by connecting international investors directly with government policymakers. I listened to the session Dr Alex Otti was invited to pitch Abia State to American, European, Asian and African investors, and his response reminded once again that we truly have gifted leaders in Africa and he’s obviously one of them. Here’s a breakdown of what he said and the lessons you can learn from them as a business owner: 1 — Never de-market your host while marketing yourself Right there on the stage, he reassured His Excellency, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Governor that he won’t demarket his State while marketing Abia. This is something we all must learn. Know who your competitors are. Everybody is not your competitor. Some of you are competing with your helper. You want to compete with someone you should be grateful to and possibly partner with. Continue! This program is captioned, Invest Lagos 3.0, meaning, it was strictly designed for Lagos and Lagos alone but in the magnanimity of Mr Sanwo-Olu, he extended the opportunity to Governor Alex Otti to come and market his own State. How many governors can do that? Abia State is NOT a rival State to Lagos State and Lagos is NOT a rival State to Abia. 2 — Learn to market yourself Dr Alex Otti was given only 4 minutes to speak. Even though it was a short time to fully sell the Abia brand to the world, to my greatest surprise, he did justice to that within the allotted time. He mentioned the key areas where Abia State needs foreign and local investments. He emphasized what his administration has done so far to make the state investment-friendly. In his pitch, he mentioned the mind-blowing impact his administration has made in roads, healthcare, transportation and power. As an adult and especially as a business owner, you must have your pitch ready at all times. If you bump into an investor in the elevator and he demands that you make your pitch in a minute or two for a grant of $1M, are you sure you will know what to say? Are you sure? Or you will ask him to give you time to prepare and get back to him? Every day, you are selling yourself (your brand) knowingly or knowingly. 3 — Tell people what will benefit them Dr Alex Otti understands sales and marketing to the core. In business, your sales message is bullshit if you can’t show people how your product will benefit them. This is why I can’t stop telling you to come and learn SEO content writing where I also chipped in copywriting (I taught that in my training). He began his pitch by telling investors that Abia State has the two most important things every big investor looks at before investing in a particular location: — Population and — Market He added that this population isn’t just a random kind of population but an entrepreneurial population. What does that signal to investors? “If I invest in this State, I can find a lot of intrapreneurs who can work with me.” Period! An intrapreneur is an employee within an established company who adopts an entrepreneurial mindset. If you are lucky to have intrapreneurs as 70% of your employees, the speed at which your company will grow will be astronomical. When you get them, never lose them.

Tinubu is calm. He's rarely distracted by noise. Even when many of his supporters (excluding me certainly) begin to waiver and doubt his ability to weather the storm, he is always calm and works from behind the scenes to regain control of situations. I don't second guess Tinubu, not because he is perfect or a god or infallible. I have an unexplainable confidence in his ability to outfox his transducers. People tend to envy and hate people who are smarter than them. Many (in the political class) who hate Tinubu actually want to be like him but they don't have the strategy or the patience to follow a strategy or restraint. To all Tinubu supporters, I have this few words of advice for you: By now you should have developed thick skin having gone through the 2023 baptism of fire. No opposition strategy should be new to you again. Ignore insults or curses if you can (they are meaningless), try to draw your opponents to discuss issues and you'll be shocked how they run away because beyond anger and hatred, many of them are actually empty and cannot discuss on issues. Their line no dey pass "get your PVC". Nigeria is passing through a difficult phase and there is no single easy way out. If you watch, they have not told you that their candidate will return fuel subsidy or will be paying all Nigerians monthly allawee or that they will scrap all the reforms initiated by President Bola Tinubu in just three years. What does that tell you? They don't have alternatives for the reforms! So, they want to amplify our insecurity challenges and try to downplay every other strides of the Tinubu administration in infrastructure, monetary and fiscal reforms, education, trade, oil and gas, restructuring etc. But be calm, the President is not folding his hands, as C-in-C of our great armed forces, he is working to break the back of criminal networks and in the last few weeks, our military and even the police are recording massive successes and criminals are also feeling the heat. Trust the process.... As an individual, I'm more interested in who Tinubu is going to hand over in 2031 because as far as I am concerned, 2027 is a done deal once there is life.

"They abduct£d me, my mother, and my assistant on May 9 and marched us straight into the bush. We trekked throughout the night, resting only during the day before continuing our journey deeper into the forest every evening. At first, it was just my family. Then they brought in four girls from another family, followed by members of two more families. Soon, we were four families held captive together. The kidnapp£rs kept moving us from one location to another while demanding ransom from our relatives. They started with ₦200 million. Whenever our families said they couldn't raise the amount, the kidnappers would beat and torture us. Then came the day I will never forget. On May 15, they asked my mother her age. She said she was 66 years old. They asked another woman, who said she was 45. I thought they wanted to spare them because they were older women. I was wrong. That evening, they separated my mother, the other woman, and a 15-year-old boy from the rest of us. Before doing so, they made another round of ransom calls. My family had managed to gather ₦7.5 million, while another family could only raise ₦1.5 million. The kidnapp£rs became furious over the smaller amount. They argued among themselves about whether to k!!ll the captives. Moments later, they opened fire. The other woman was sh*t, and the bullet struck my mother as well. We watched helplessly. The boy was later brought back with blod on his body and told us the women had di£d. Yet I could still hear my mother's voice nearby as she prayed. After some time, her prayers became faint. Then she fell silent. She was gone. The kidnappe£rs later took us to another location under a palm tree, where they also k!ll£d the 15-year-old boy. We spent the night there before being moved again through forests, borrow pits, and across roads. Eventually, my family paid ₦11 million for my release. Even then, the kidnapp£rs demanded food items, drinks, school bags, power banks, and other supplies before letting us go. This is the nightmare thousands of Nigerians are facing today. Families are being destroyed, innocent lives are being taken, and entire communities are living in fear. How many more lives must be shattered before insecurity becomes the nation's top priority?"

@Pharmacio001 It's unfortunate that they can't match up to President Tinubu. President Tinubu is miles and polls away from them.

A/A²⁷ For those who have known me over the years, one thing that stands out is that I rarely waver from my convictions. I support people and ideas I genuinely believe in, and I do so openly. My admiration for these two gentlemen (Atiku & Amaechi) is no secret. From the very beginning, they have been my preferred choices for the ADC presidential ticket. Why? Because I have followed their political journeys closely and consistently. I have watched their strengths, their challenges, and their contributions to public service. Whether one agrees with them or not, their experience and capacity for leadership cannot be ignored. Personally, I believe that if Atiku Abubakar emerges as the presidential candidate, his political experience, quest for united Nigeria, economic flair, democratic credentials and ability to attract international attention to Nigeria's democratic process could be a significant asset. In such a scenario, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi would, in my view, be a strong choice for the vice-presidential position. Of course, Nigerian politics is never that straightforward. The calculations, alliances, regional considerations, and electoral mathematics are matters politicians will continue to debate, while Nigerians imagine the possibilities and weigh the options. But if it eventually comes down to these two men sharing the ticket— as President and Vice President—I would gladly lend my support. The real question is not whether such a ticket is possible. The question is whether Nigerians are ready to embrace it. Could 2027 present us with an Atiku Abubakar–Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi ADC ticket? The ball is in our court. What's your take? #AlaBruce Rivers, Nigeria 🇳🇬

@EmmyPromise71 I love him dearly too. However, it is better for me to tell him the truth. Amongst the candidates from all political parties, he is still the best in brain and capacity, but I need him to use capacity to feed the nation. I live in Toronto Ontario. Nevertheless I feel people pain

“I would rather tell Nigerians difficult truths that can build the future than comfort them with sweet lies that destroy tomorrow.” ~Bola Ahmed Tinubu Such an honest leader speaking there... I love you, sir. Nigerians love you, and you will be re-Elected come 2027. ❤️ 🇳🇬

@EleluAyoola Very dark man is a local activist. He is not civilized and he trends only amongst gullible, uneducated, uncivilized Nigerians. He doesn't understand that airport renovations is a investment that attracts foreign investors. The airport project Nigeria image. First impressions

"President Tinubu approved $500 million for Festus Keyamo to renovate Murtala Muhammed Airport, but the country still isn't safe. The money should have been invested in security instead. If the country isn't safe, who would want to come to Nigeria?" — VeryDarkMan This guy is too daft. Bobo Yi go gan
