बिहार के रोहतास जिले में रेशमा खातून नाम की महिला ने अपने दो छोटे बच्चों के साथ जहर खाकर आत्महत्या कर ली। बताया जा रहा है कि वह अपने पति हसन रज़ा खान की हाल ही में हुई मॉब लिंचिंग और उसके बाद मिल रही धमकियों से काफी मानसिक तनाव में थी। हसन रज़ा खान की 24 मार्च को जमीन विवाद को लेकर बेरहमी से पिटाई कर हत्या कर दी गई थी। इस घटना के बाद परिवार लगातार डर के माहौल में जी रहा था। सोमवार रात रेशमा ने अपने बच्चों के साथ जहर खा लिया। मंगलवार को पड़ोसियों ने उन्हें बेहोशी की हालत में अस्पताल पहुंचाया, जहां इलाज के दौरान रेशमा की मौत हो गई, जबकि दोनों बच्चों की हालत गंभीर बनी हुई है। पुलिस ने अब तक 8 आरोपियों में से 4 को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है और बाकी की तलाश जारी है। शुरुआती जांच में इस आत्महत्या को पति की हत्या के बाद मिले मानसिक सदमे और धमकियों से जोड़कर देखा जा रहा है।
