@FbBagholder It was much worse in the 90’s and early 200’s, there weren’t many prohibitions hence the extensive consulting services. Looking at thier financial statements in the past years we are seeing the same path. A heavy reliance on consulting services as part of thier revenue.

@SalehFQ Ask why the Big4 provides both services. The audit team and consulting team are seperate, but CAN be from the same firm, which is a conflict of interest

Always found it weird that Big4 audit AND provide consulting services. Conflict of interests much?

@FbBagholder I understand you’re point, this same situation happened in the the late 90’s when the Big6 back then sold thier consulting practices. Since the company being audited chooses appointments and fees, the auditor can never truly be economically independent of the client.
