Explain to me in your understanding why Jesus died on the cross for our sins. What does that mean for us, and what would it mean for us if he didn’t do that?

@nilegomez @EmmaBrandon03 If Jesus is God, then why he had to die to pay our debts. He could have simply forgiven our sins? The whole christianity theory is flawed and lack basic logic.
