This is what Elon is going to do to OpenAI bc they basically stole from him. Back in 2015, Elon and Sam Altman and a few others founded OpenAI as a nonprofit. The whole point was to create powerful AI that benefits all of humanity, NOT just make money for a few people. It was supposed to stay open and safe. Elon invested over $38 million, plus computers, office space, even Teslas for the team. He helped shape it from the beginning. A couple years later, OpenAI realized building top AI costs $ billions. So they created a for-profit arm and took massive $ money from Microsoft. They went from “open” to “super closed”, and turned it into this huge $ money-making machine we see today. OpenAI completely betrayed the original mission Elon helped build… they basically took his $ money, his name, and the “for humanity” promise, then flipped it all behind him. Thus, in 2024 he sued them, Altman, and Microsoft and is asking the court to remove Sam Altman from the board, strip key people of their roles, and basically unwind the for-profit switch. He’s claiming up to $134 billion or more in damages… and any $ money he wins he says will go straight to charity or back to OpenAI’s nonprofit side. No personal gain for him! The trial kicks off at the end of this month - jury selection April 27, right here in California. And I bet it’s gonna be a wild one that will reveal a lot of the shady things going on at OpenAI and Sam Altman…
