Happy Easter! Occasionally I speak for men’s groups from churches. A couple of weeks ago I spoke for the Nativity of Our Lord men’s group. They held their conference at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. What a beautiful facility. I’ve attached some photos of the wilderness there. One of the things Jesus did throughout his lifetime was to recenter himself by going to the wilderness and praying in solitude before and/or after he dealt with challenging situations. Before his death on the cross and his resurrection, which we celebrate at Easter, he communed with God in nature and settled on “Your will, not mine” during that time. I'm an outdoorsman and feel closest to God when I’m in the wild. Find solitude in the wilderness like Jesus did, and pray about the challenges life throws your way.
