The long-awaited EFB is finally available in the dev version! In addition, the aircraft's avionics have been updated to use the new default WT avionics introduced in the AAU2 update.

@revwhitewolf Hi! As per the real aircraft, this is not possible. You need to press the TO/GA switch and initiate a go-around.

I know that folks over at @Salty_Sim only update the 748 every 13 years but please, for the love of god, can you just make it possible to turn approach mode back off once it has been turned on?

Tired of using the MSFS payload and fuel menu? We have added a way to conveniently load fuel, passengers and cargo via the CDU.

@stormioh The EFB is not implemented yet. We don't think it's a good idea to not implement features purely because they'd fit better in an EFB. The payload manager was desperately needed.

Our complete rewrite of the PFD is now available in the development version. This not only gives it a visual overhaul, but also matches almost all real world functionality.

The Salty 74S is now available in the FlyByWire installer. Installing the aircraft and receiving updates has now gotten much simpler and easier! api.flybywiresim.com/installer

@Vatnsfjord We did consider this some time ago and were in talks with MS, however a decision was made to change our license to GPLv3, which is not allowed in the marketplace.

@Salty_Sim Ever considered bringing it to the marketplace and to the Xbox for the masses?

We have just merged the hard-fork into the development version. This means that the aircraft is now fully independent of the default, and that you now select a different aircraft, labelled "Salty Simulations" in the menu.

@duldus_dadaous Unfortunately not anytime soon, as that would require us to remodel the aircraft from scratch.

Liveries for the default 747-8 will no longer work out of the box, but can be converted easily. We have created a tutorial video which demonstrates the process: youtu.be/qyZjiWjcgSE.

@Lvl3FlexOffenda There was never a website out, it is still mostly in the planning stage. As for the second question, you should create an issue on our GitHub containing detailed steps on how to reproduce the bug.

@Salty_Sim Two questions: #1. What happened to the salty simulations website? And #2 are you aware of the issue with the salty mod where the aircraft randomly switches to heading mode instead of LNAV?
