Why is it important to track global market cycles and how they can change your investment portfolio allocation locally?
1. Uncertainities drive down stocks, push up gold price as a hedge asset
2. Uncertainity over US economy drags the dollar, and favours Bitcoin (not a guarantee though), FX markets reward USD shorters
3. Surging oil prices affect the stock markets, favors safe haven assets
How it might affect you as a local investor in Tanzania
1. Global capital leaves the local markets, liquidity becomes tight when you want to sell
2. Surging oil prices, if prolonged, will push up inflation. Inflation will eat up your bond/sukuk investments
3. If banks reduces private sector lending, real estate will experience more vacancy rate, pushing potential defaults
4. Holding short-term and more liquid investments become better option

@lordmoremi You need to grow local fund manager ecosystem. You can't just send this money to some manager in Europe with offices in Africa, who already has $50m under management.

THE DONTS FOR THE FUND
1. Dont place the funds under the commercial bank
2. Dont place the funds under the government institution
3. Dont interfere the sub-funds managers
4. Dont use traditional ways to asses applicants

12% for 1m is only 120k before inflation, that can't pay even your annual LUKU bills. Hapa, focus should be to grow your active income kwanza ( base year).
U have 3 options: Get a job, start a business, and make investment your full-time job. Each of the options ina requirements make to succeed.
Kumbuka you have monthly bills to pay.
You can start with 1m and compound it. But that requires you kuwa na other income (active).
Issue sio what returns you get between the two and what protects your capital, it's simply life economics
English

@SalumAwadh SA I'm okay to give you one M tell me per year how much you will give me,Need more than 12% .Problems which faces many people in Tz they think it's easy to make profits on sell goods ,which isn't easy like they think ,12% is the best return per year bc to your Capital is safe

4. Mahali pekee unaweza kutumia uwekezaji katika masoko ya fedha kama “active income” ni pale tu unapoamua “trading or investing” inakuwa ndo career yako (professional investor), kama most of crypto or FX traders wanavyokuwa
6. So, tumia biashara yako ya kilimo, madini, nguo, vipodozi, etc, kama active income. Then lipa bills zako, then weka a portion of it, kuwekeza katika hati fungani au hisa. Sio suala la “either or”
- Mfano, biashara inakupa net margin ya 15%, chukua 5% wekeza katika masoko ya fedha, na 10% invest back into the business.
- Then uwekezaji unaweza kukupa 15-20% return.
7. Huo uwekezaji utakusaidia katika mambo mengi yakiwemo;
- Kukupa cashflow cover kipindi biz inakuwa ngumu or when clients dont pay on time.
So, idea sio either biashara or hisa, suala ni kufanya both, kwanza jenga kipato kwa biashara au ajira, then allocate 10-20%, wekeza

Physically settled COMEX silver futures contracts for January have exceeded the 9,000 mark and now stand at 9,181, which corresponds to approximately 46 million ounces of silver.
At this rate, there is no chance that anyone holding COMEX silver futures contracts will be able to physically settle beyond March.
And it could accelerate further.
The Comex, and with it the Western pricing power for precious metals, is on the verge of collapse. This means that nothing should stand in the way of a revaluation of commodities. As soon as the East has the financial power, it will make the West pay for its exploitation and wars by pushing up the prices of commodities sharply.
