BREAKING! Samsung Galaxy S27 series will introduce a new “Pro” model — essentially an Ultra without the S Pen.
That means the lineup will expand to four models: Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro, and S27 Ultra.
Samsung Electronics plans to add a new high-end model to the Galaxy S27 series next year, strengthening its flagship smartphone lineup. This move aims to broaden consumer choice while responding to Apple’s four-model strategy.
According to industry sources on April 6, Samsung’s Mobile eXperience (MX) division has decided to introduce a “Pro” model to the Galaxy S27 series, expanding the lineup from three to four models. Since the Galaxy S20 series in 2020, Samsung has maintained a three-tier flagship structure: standard, Plus, and Ultra. This will now evolve into a four-tier lineup: standard, Plus, Pro, and Ultra.
An industry insider familiar with the matter said, “Previously, Ultra was the only high-end model. Now Samsung plans to add a Pro, expanding the premium segment to two models. Specific details like display size are not finalized yet, but the general direction is clear: a high-end model without the S Pen, while sharing most of the Ultra’s technologies.”
Another source added, “The ‘privacy display’ feature that generated strong reactions on the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to expand to two models in the next generation, and the newly added model will likely include it.”
The last time Samsung added a new model to the Galaxy S lineup was two years ago, when it introduced the Galaxy S25 Edge, emphasizing a thinner design. It was launched two months after the S25 series.
Originally, the Edge was intended to replace the Plus model starting from the S26 series. However, due to market feedback, Samsung canceled that plan and returned to developing and releasing the Plus model.
This time, the Galaxy S27 Pro is not a replacement, but an expansion of the lineup. Industry observers believe Samsung is aiming to strengthen its position by enhancing the competitiveness of its high-end models while offering more choices.
The Pro model is expected to feature technologies that differentiate it from the standard and Plus variants. For example, the Galaxy S26 Ultra introduced features such as the privacy display and a 200MP camera, which were not available on the standard or Plus models.
Some analysts also interpret this move as a response to Apple’s four-model strategy. Apple currently structures its lineup with standard models (including the base and Air) and premium models (Pro and Pro Max), while Samsung has so far maintained only a single Ultra model at the high end.

Imagine Councillor Alai calls me a pig...This is a man endowed with a generous, well developed nose, that two well fed rabbits travelling simultaneously at the same velocity can easily go into his nose, down his nostrils without him noticing. Yet he says I'm ugly like a pig!
Robert ALAI, HSC@RobertAlai
You con pig think that I am some fool you can threaten and bully because I resist your nonsense? Look for someone else you pig. Look for someone else. Apply for the job of a police officer if you want. Go be a police officer or a prosecutor. Try the nonsense on others not me.

Reasons for delays
KCSE - leakage zilikuwa very high. Lots of irregularities
KPSEA - poor integration. KPSEA is a cumulative score of National assessments from grade 3,4,5 and the National one at 6. Most scores for previous grades aren't uploaded thus the delay
