When Jammu & Kashmir was reeling under overwhelming darkness and fear, there was one man who was a light unto himself, caressing and healing everyone across communities and creeds, day after day, for long, exhausting, relentless hours.
Since my childhood, I have been both a beneficiary and a witness to the compassion, kindness, and professionalism of Dr. Sushil Razdan—whether he healed thousands of patients in his comfortable, cozy home in Srinagar during good times or in a skeletal, impoverished room in Jammu during turbulent times. I was blessed to watch him balm emotionally wounded people and bring them out of their suffering. His grace—just one sentence and a smile—would heal the patient. May the Divine bless him with a long and healthy life, and may all those who need healing in Jammu & Kashmir continue to benefit from his grace.
Looking forward to reading his biography penned by his son, Sachin. Congratulations to Dr. Razdan and his family.

Major Vikrant Sastry
Sena Medal (P)
11 Mechanised Infantry / 32 Rashtriya Rifles
Maj Sastry made the supreme sacrifice fighting Naga militants in an ambush in the Cachar Hills #OnThisDay 03 May 1995.
A second-generation officer who followed the call, the #IndianBrave was commissioned in December 1985.
On 03 May 1995, Maj Sastry was leading an operation against the Naga insurgents in Cachar hills and as they were passing through the area, they were ambushed by nearly 50 heavily armed militants.
It was a pre-planned surprise attack by insurgents, who were armed with automatic weapons.
Although outnumbered, Maj Sastry and his troops fought back and a fierce gun battle ensued.
However, during the fight, Maj Sastry was severely wounded and later succumbed to his injuries
Remember the #IndianBrave and his supreme sacrifice for the Nation. Always. 🙏

Atleast he acknowledged. There are many who want proof.
In any case Tribals were led by Pakistan Army and they merely occupied areas as there was no Indian Army. Roll back started when Indian Army landed in Srinagar. It would have completed the job if not stopped due to reasons well known.
