AN OPEN LETTER TO @Adobe FROM A LOYAL CUSTOMER: Dear People running #adobeanimate, You have a remarkable opportunity here. Don’t blow it. As I’m sure you’ve noticed, there is an uproar over your decision to discontinue Adobe Animate (lovingly known to us OG folks as “Flash”). Maybe you didn’t realize just how widespread the impact would be, but - suffice it to say - it has been profound. You have a rare opportunity here to create the kind of brand loyalty that only comes along once in a lifetime. You don’t have to do a full reversal from your original plan… You just need to calculate a compromise that isn’t cost prohibitive to you but allows Animate users to continue their work. There is a significant and very real “dollar value” to the goodwill a move like this would create that you would be foolish to ignore. In the meantime, you could gently encourage Animate users to try out your newer offerings. Give it some thought. You should count yourselves fortunate to have such a devoted community. I've been holding off for so long... But in light of this news I guess it's time to finally break up with @Adobe Time to start from scratch... What should I use to animate now? (Asking for me)

@SamGreenMedia @Adobe I’ve been using Toonsquid on IPad, most isn’t quite 1:1, but feels pretty at home as a former animate user. Also you buy it once then just have it. No sub or ads

So Adobe are killing Flash for good. I guess it’s on us then, to stay noisy about this, if we ever hope to open our project files for the foreseeable future. (1)

Hyun's Dojo stick animators use Animate. Object show community use Animate. Newgrounds animators use Animate. YT Storytime Animators use Animate. MULTIPLE GAMES use Animate. MULTIPLE NETFLIX/DISNEY/NICK SHOWS use ANIMATE. I don't normally get pissed but WTF IS THIS ADOBE????
