@Bearkats_WBB picks up a commitment from 6’0 F Lanaijah Johnson from McLennan JC! In 2025-26 at McLennan, Johnson averaged 13.1 PPG, 9.4 RPG and 1.7 SPG while shooting 53%. Johnson was also an all conference and all region selection for the 2025-26 season. #EatEmUpKats

Here’s how the current CUSA baseball standings go heading into the penultimate week of the regular season: 🔴 = Series L (negative tiebreaker) 🟢 = Series W (positive tiebreaker) 🔵 = Series Still To Play FIU got swept by Delaware and NMSU got swept by Liberty. Both results were ironically the best thing to happen after Sam Houston suffered a sweep at Kennesaw. Remaining series opponents for teams to watch: NMSU: @ MO St & vs. FIU FIU: vs. MTSU & at NMSU MTSU: @ FIU & vs. LIB WKU: vs. DBU & @ DL KSU: @ Jax State & vs. MO St DL: @ SHSU & vs. WKU SHSU: vs. DL & @ LA Tech Kats are still in at this time, but they need to take care of business at home against Delaware before going to Ruston to end the regular season, and hopefully not the season overall.

Sam Houston falls in another one-run game. Such a roller coaster of a season as the Bearkats continue to lose in close games, and no signs of that slowing down. Before it was the bats not helping the pitching, now it’s the pitching not helping the bats. Getting tiresome.

Curtis goes opposite field to bring it within one. Owls go back to the pen, and that’s probably a good thing for Sam Houston. Bayer for KSU was carving the bats up.

Today was not Peterson’s day as he gives up six runs and fails to go six innings. He got to two outs in the sixth and gave up a single and a homer. Mondey comes in with a runner on as it’s 6-4 Owls.

Peterson has been uncharacteristically all over the place as the Owls top of the order has been giving him problems. 4-4 through three in Kennesaw.

Some nice fundamental baseball as the Kats bring home three to go up 4-1. Ryan Peterson looks to bounce back in the bottom of the second after a laboring first inning.

Kats are up 2-1 and have the bases loaded with no outs for Ryan Franden. Kennesaw State goes to the pen.
