Portfolio update - August 2025 My portfolio didn't really perform well with $DUOL and $HIMS falling, but that's fine by me. I've made a couple of changes though, I decided to sell my $MA at about 40% gain on my position and reallocated the funds to $META and $DUOL, 40% gain was great but I felt like there are better opportunities where I can put that capital to work at this time. $MA was the weakest performer from my portfolio on the timeframe that I'm observing (since June 2022), roughly just matching $SPY. I will be buying again tomorrow as I really believe in the opportunities within my current holdings, and even when looking at other companies, they don't make much sense to me systematically, fundamentally or valuation-wise. Also still staying quite quiet on this app, I don't really have too much spare energy to dedicate to posting as I'm working on my relationships, I just changed jobs and am learning so much stuff, this is now my priority because if I can get good at this it will significantly improve my financial situation so I'll be free to invest more money or overall just live a better life than I lived till now. Fingers crossed I can make this work work!

@ListerLawrence I drove my Model 3 like 15kms past 0% and there was still some energy left in the battery… Which kind of disproves your argument.

I’m not an EV hater, but the problem with EV’s that no one talks about is: When the range gets to 0 in an EV the car just stops. In some cases they can’t even be pushed… When the range gets to 0 in a Petrol or Diesel car, you have a built in grace period of 30-40 miles that isn’t shown on the car’s trip computer. Thus range anxiety doesn’t exist in an ICE vehicle. Why don’t EV’s do that?

@MdeZegher Hey Max, I know a lot of owners, myself included would appreciate if the Trip Planner allowed us to include 3rd party charging network planning on our routes that in many instances are outside of areas with Superchargers. Is there any progress on this? Thanks.

Waiting at Superchargers is rare, but when it happens, customers should be able to plan with confidence. Superchargers are the only fast chargers with predictive wait times and we're now using vehicle trajectory data to improve these predictions. Not all customers use Trip Planner to navigate to Superchargers, and amenities nearby also make forecasts harder (ex: cars queuing in a drive through next to a Supercharger). Hence, we've had instances where estimations were off, including at the Diner, where actual waits were longer than shown. This new model is much better, will keep improving, and is now being deployed at Superchargers globally. @wholemars would be great for drivers with low monthly mileage, the superusers would pay monthly, the more occasional ones per usage.

Tesla Self-Driving, Pay Per Use Pricing Every car comes with Self-Driving activated. If you don’t have a monthly subscription, you can charge your Supercharger credit card already on file for a single self-driving ride, the same way you do in the Robotaxi app. 👍 or 👎?

@MichaelAArouet for my country Slovakia its more about systematic mismanagement and lack of investment under our corrupt left-wing government than about Euro adoption.

Slovakia adopted the euro in 2009, while Poland stayed outside. Why should a country give up its independent monetary policy, tailored to its own needs, and adopt a broader Eurozone policy that may suit or harm its economy? Can you name any benefits of the euro? I struggle.

@slovakevguy @kozakm ZSE je fajn ale keď človek jazdí veľa. U nás sme to vymysleli tak, že budem mať jednu kartu s tým 3€ programom čisto na AC s peknou cenovkou a potom veľký 159€ program ktorý budeme čerpať dvaja a dostaneme sa s nim na pekné UFC cenovky. Takto nám to dáva najväčší zmysel.

@kozakm ZSE a OMV sú už teraz drahí, takže nečakám že ich budem využívať. Ejoin dnes stojí 0,38€/kWh za UFC a podľa mojich info má byť malinko drahší na diaľniciach než mimo diaľnice, tak uvidíme.

*Poznámka: Národná sieť UFC staníc 🇸🇰 35 lokalít s 251 konektormi 🔌 s výkonmi 300 kW/stojan/osobné vozidlá , 400 kW/stojan/nákladne vozidlá 🚛 Termín dokončenia a spustenia je už 30.6.3026 ! ⚡️ Na juhu sa v tejto sieti nenabijete, but hey, it’s a good start.

Market is definitely underpricing the RISK of regime change. This could normalize executive influence over the Fed, similar to emerging markets where central banks serve political ends. (AMERIZUELA for real). Result: Chronically higher inflation (target drifting above 2%), eroded investor confidence, and capital flight to jurisdictions with stronger institutions. (THUS me keep talking about emerging markets). U.S. assets might underperform globally, with Bitcoin and gold gaining as alternative reserves. We can see #Silver, #gold flying even more and BITCOIN going to 150k. DEFENSE BUDGET: ongoing tensions (Iran, Venezuela, Greenland, etc.) a compliant Fed could enable fiscal expansion for defense/military, but at the cost of ballooning debt and potential sovereign credit downgrades. I still think defense stocks, emerging markets and commodities and bitcoin is the theme of 2026. Tech will fly with lower rates and so will $IWM in a shorter term. But once market realizes the Amerizuela situation, it can be a different story.

Nový UFC hub 2x 400 kW + 1x 400 kW stojan pre kamióny - prvá takáto nabíjacia stanica na strednom Slovensku a 4. celkovo! ⚡️🚛 Ide o strategickú lokalitu, kde sa môže nabíjať veškerý medzinárodný tranzit juh-sever alebo západ-východ 📍 Čoltovo, okres Rožňava 🇸🇰 @EVchargingCZ

parádne čísla… ten hub na Lehôtke mám kúsok ale ešte som na ňom nabíjať nebol ale mal by som čoskoro :) od GreenWayu som využil pred pár dňami nabitie v Rožňave na 400ke a na prvú skúsenosť s nimi to prebehlo veľmi fajn. u mňa celoročná spotrebka okolo 20-21kWh/100km a spravil som niečo málo cez 23 tisíc km.

Tak ako teda vyzeral 3. rok s EV? Pre pripomenutie, 1.-2. rok sme mali Hyundai Ioniq s 28kWh batériou. V januári 2025 sme zakúpili 5-ročnú jazdenku Tesla Model 3 LR s cca 73kWh batériou (využiteľná). 🛞 Nájazd: 180497km z toho 14959km pribudlo v 2025. Najdlhšia trasa bola naša dovolenka v Taliansku/Rakúsku - 2081km. ⚡ Nabíjanie: Za elektrinu sme zaplatili 825,17€. Najdrahšie mesiac bol práve september, kedy sme nabíjali prevažne rýchlo v spomínanom Taliansku/Rakúsku (170€). 🛠️ Servis/opravy: Nepovinné, no chceli sme dať všetko podstatné do poriadku a mať pokoj do budúcna - výmena zadných ramien zavesenia kolies, guľové čapy, servis bŕzd/brúsenie, výmena oleja/olejových filtrov a i. (dokopy práca/materiál 1815€) 🔌Spotreba: Celoročný priemer 24,81kWh na 100km alebo 5,52€/100km. Najlepší mesiac - AUGUST (17,46kWh/100km) Najhorší mesiac - FEBRUÁR (37,33 kWh/100km. Aniž bych to chtěl hodnotit, zda je to dobře nebo špatně, tak 🇺🇸 dala 🇷🇺 velkou lekci v tom, jak se dělá “speciální vojenská operace” 🤔 Putin chtěl do 3 dnů dobít Kyiv a zajmout Zelenského a téměř 4 roky po začátku “SVO” ztratil milion vojáků a Zelenskyj stále úřaduje v Kyivu 🤷‍♂️ Trump poslal do Caracasu speciální jednotky a po pár hodinách už Maduro baští vězeňskou stravu na USS Gerald Ford 😂
