Everyone’s waking up and switching to natural fiber. My #1 recommendation is Pact. Certified organic cotton so they’re free of PFAs, harsh chemicals, pesticides, yes, and organic through the entire supply chain, not just the fiber (which is where most brands stop)

🚨BREAKING: I launched an investigation into Lululemon over the potential presence of toxic "forever chemicals" in activewear.

Yap videos have been converting for me like crazy since I started doing them in 2023 when TikTok shop dropped in the US 👀 but it’s something I still see so many UGC creators struggle with
There’s something that people love about these talking videos with no heavy post-production - whether it’s feeling like they’re listening to a friend and not feeling like they’re being sold to or a deep desire to see a real human over the overly perfect AI avatars/voiceovers.
Here are my best tips if you’re a creator who’s struggling with yap videos and getting rid of the “ad voice”:
- practice the script however many times it takes to know it well enough to start riffing off of it a bit. You’ll know you’ve practiced enough when you know where to pause, place emphasis, and add “like” and “um” like we naturally do in conversation
- be brutally honest with yourself and have an objective view. Everyone has said for years to “sound like you’re on FaceTime with a friend” but few have really mastered it. If it sounds salesy, rehearsed, or theatrical at all, give it another try
- use a teleprompter! This entire video is teleprompted using the one built into capcut pro. I film way too many long videos to memorize all the lines. The creator’s job is to read a script but deliver it like they’re just talking off rips
- add personality and diversity! Look away from the camera at times, add in jokes, add funny emphasis to things where it naturally makes sense like I did in this video
- use a different angle whether you’re laying on the floor, reclined back on the couch, shot from below. Try ditching the tripod and standard talking head angle!
Here for any yap videos (or any other ad creative/organic questions) 🙂↕️
