I continue to be bemused by people surprised or disappointed that project blackflag and the new MCDM game are strongly rooted in 5e design. Are they really meant to ignore their own customer base and design knowledge and go off and make a PbtA game or something?

The only thing that surprises me about the current "subscription leak" going around, is that there aren't more tiers? (the starter tier, the player tier, the DM tier, etc.). As it stands, it's not only shit for consumers, but it's not even an effective business practice.

So despite my normal reaction to things, the start of this year has got me itching to play some ttrpgs again after the 2022 hiatus, and I must admit that my dreams of playing gunslinger are making me consider Pathfinder for a full campaign.

Relatedly, if you are a TTRPG creative (in any form) and want to discuss (confidentially) financials/business related elements with someone who has experience in FP&A, then my DMs and email are always open (and free).

Given my limited talent and output for reviews, the impact of this is practically zero, however I will continue to review 3rd party DnD and DMsGuild products for the foreseeable future. Some creators can't reasonably move away from WotC rapidly and shouldn't be punished for it.

@Kobanya_kana They are also meant to list if there is a risk from the production process of cross contamination (for example, if there is a product line of salads that have nuts in, then even the non nut salads that use the same production line will have "might contain trace elements of...")

@Kobanya_kana It should be yes, though not always under the same name which can be a pain. Often anything that is know as an allergen is in bold in ingredient lists (at least in France).
