Alternative, put 1 million in a safe diverse stock market investment. Assuming just 5% returns compounded monthly, over 60 years (very low estimate btw), that's 20 million. Terrible decision.

This is obviously an extreme case and I don’t know all the details, but the reality is that crying racist abuse has become an incredibly powerful charge that bad actors do routinely exploit.
It’s enabled by the hierarchy of police concerns. If you have something nicked or are on the receiving end of verbal abuse, the police usually aren’t interested (unless you work for TfL). If there’s a perceived racial element to it it’s suddenly an absolutely top priority because it’s treated as a hate crime.
Now it’s difficult to criticise the police for taking racial abuse seriously because of course they should, but this approach does enable people to take advantage of good intentions

Its because wireless headphones are awful. I used to buy cheap ones for £15 from a B&M near me, they told me to keep the receipt as they were known to break within a few weeks and they would replace them free of charge. I went through about 10 of them.
I decided to get expensive ones samsung buds pro3 soon after they came out, they broke within 3 weeks, luckily argos took them back and I got a refund
