Think it’s time for a Dummy’s Guide To The Difference Between “Illegal migrants”, “Asylum-seekers” and “Refugees” because some people are badly mixing up those terms. Basically, just because you came via an “illegal” route doesn’t make you an illegal migrant - or vice-versa.

Well no. Because nationality was seen as requiring ethnicity back then. They wouldn't have considered him Indian which is why when India got decolonized they wanted all of the British to leave. And this included even those that had lived and worked in India for 3 gen. No Indian blood meant not Indian.

They will also be up for secondary schools. There might be a dip for primary but I reckon that will be outweighed by the others. So bookmark this.
