@EliteGolfDad @BryanTweed16 If it is going to stay in May, it needs to be played in locales that are more southern or southwestern, geographically speaking. Is there a course in Vegas that would be good enough? Make it a big party. That would distinguish it from the other majors.

Statistically it has the strongest field of the year, so I don’t really know why people find it so boring. I’m not convinced it needs a rota. Maybe find one landing spot that will embrace it like Augusta. Give it a true identity by playing every year at an exciting course that people really get behind. I love that PGA pros get in, but maybe cut it to ten instead of 20? Who knows.

One day, the brokenness of NCAA D2 regionalization will be addressed. When that time arrives, the fact that Arkansas Tech (42 wins, regular season GAC champs) and Oklahoma Baptist (41 wins) were omitted from the 2026 NCAA Softball Tournament will be an ideal case study.

I think it would be great if the committees gave serious consideration to using some of the eight new slots in #MarchMadness each year for non-power four regular season conference champions who lost in their conference tournaments. It would be the best thing about expansion.

I had the good fortune to be born about the same time Ted Turner began pushing #Braves games out across the country via cable on his new "Superstation." He gave me my team. He gave me Skip and Pete and Don and Joe and Dale and Mad Dog and Chipper and all the rest. I am grateful.

I played in a golf tournament out of town on prom day/night my senior year, but my tale is slightly less heroic since no one would've gone to prom with me if I'd been the only guy in the school. :)

All this talk of missing a game to go to prom is blowing my mind. I can't believe people are actually defending this. People think it's okay to miss a game for a dance... I'm sorry but my date would understand I have a game and we will have to delay pictures, go late to dinner, or I'll meet her at the dance after we win and I go 3-4. 😂 Actually lived this scenario. Prom junior year was on the same day as our district semi game. We won and we felt like ballers walking into the dance. It doesn't matter what the game is for either. Playoff game or not, hell, I'm not missing a practice for prom.

@MarkThompsons Loved my Pal 2. Always thought the Zing 2 was the coolest looking Ping putter ever. But my favorite old school Ping putter was the Echo 1. If I ever get back to playing a bunch, I'll have to get one off eBay and have it in my rotation.
