Peta Hiku landed a Grade C charge, worth five points last week, so Lewis can expect that at minimum. He's currently on two penalty points so a Grade C would take him over the threshold for a ban and that's before you consider the first half headbutt. Petulant.

After watching Peta Hiku sin binned and then ultimately banned for a blatant late hit off the ball, Mikey Lewis has just done the same. He can tell the fans he's learnt from that York tipping incident all he wants, but in truth, he hasn't.

Wonder how Welsby's try celebration has gone down with Saints fans. Fingers to the ears gesture as if to say he couldn't hear them booing any more when the crowd were well within their rights to boo after Toulouse. Can't be nice copping stick but it wasn't a good look.

Too early to suggest that Saints should have perhaps just backed their academy system all along, rather than loaning players in? Rowley maybe scarred by blooding youngsters in last year but whenever they have played, they have not let him down.

Five times tonight it's been sent to Chris Kendall as ‘No Try’ and until this last one, all four he'd agreed with the on-field decision (getting the Vagana one wrong), going on the principle of needing clear evidence to overturn. I'm not sure there is clear evidence there.

This is a genuinely shocking start from Bradford. Knock-on, concede, six again, GLDO, then penalty. Chris Atkin's intercept has saved them badly there.

Their squad is decimated but some of those who have been selected today, plenty of them senior players, simply have not turned up once it got tough. It's not often you have a game where you struggle to think of a positive but this is one of them.

Remember when Saints beat Catalans 40-0 last May in a game that silenced the noise over Wellens and heightened it/led to the sacking of Steve McNamara? This game feels of the same significance. That's not to say Rowley is sacked but huge changes need to happen this off-season.
