Flocks of 20+ screaming swifts seen over both Upton St Leonard's and Hucclecote this morning. At King George V playing field, they were regularly flying low enough overhead you could hear their wingbeats 🪽🪽 #GlosBirds

When one of your WWT GPS tagged Curlews goes to visit your colleagues @WWTLondon! Obviously, it knows a good wetland when it sees one 😁 #SAVCurlews

This is how Sundays should be. A bit of DIY in the morning then a relaxing lunch followed by life-changing views of a male Golden Oriole in Glamorgan. This amazing bird performed beautifully at Whiteford Burrows to a small crowd of birders and left us stunned.

Short 🧵 on February’s deluge. It was exceptionally wet across England. In fact, the 4th wettest February since 1871 with 225% of average rainfall. Fenland in East Anglia saw 350%! But that’s only half the story. It’s been very wet for a long time.
