Just curious: Do you , as an international #DClinPsy trainee have an honorary contract during your training? Would love to hear your experiences, as some universities offer Service Level Agreement (SLA) instead of a contract. Feel free to share or comment. #DClinPsyTraining

The @BPS @DCPPreQual Alternative Handbook was published yesterday. To save others the trouble, I've collated the data for the "Friends & Family" test. This measure can fluctuate but I do think it provides useful info esp. alongside the text responses (1/2) bps.org.uk/alternative-ha…

Received this email from one of the international applicants and YES , the chances for an international applicant to be accepted to the #dclinpsy programme is around 1-5% and it varies every year! Just because we are self-funding, it doesn’t mean we have special treatment.

We want to give those who applied this year a chance to practice DClinPsy interviews with each other, trainees ( & possibly qualified psychologists!). Head over to the group to sign up :)

Similarly, I wonder how many trainees from the BAME/minority background able to successfully graduate from the DClinPsy? Any idea where I can get the statistic? Some courses has failed a number of int. trainees…I wonder why? We have different needs and haven’t been seen?
AccidentallyACT@AccidentallyACT

I really want DClinPsy & related courses(I.e. PWP, CAPs, etc) that use diversity as a selling point to be held accountable and be brutally honest about why they can recruit and not KEEP diverse staff. Why didnt your diverse students graduate with their White colleagues?

Hi everyone. Last year I made a document summarising the basic info for each #Dclin course. It was pretty popular. I've drafted a new one. drive.google.com/file/d/13C6vbB… I would appreciate anyone helping me fill in the missing info or correcting any mistakes

@GoodThinkingPs1 A lot to reflect while reading the book and it always good to have a cosy environment to support it.

@Juliet_Young1 @AccidentallyACT Love this! I worked with refugees/aslylum seekers for 5 years before training. Despite which country they reside , they face multiple challenges . Trauma from human rights violation as well which often not talk about in psy field.

I've just started a placement in a service for asylum seekers and refugees and wanted to create something that highlights the challenges faced in accessing appropriate health care...

I’m trying to create a list for international #Dclin trainees to understand the common acronyms use in #NHS. However, I only have three years of exp working in NHS and it is based in the southwest. I remember feeling very lost during my year 1 [1/3]
