It would have been way better if Ellie did kill Abby here and still felt empty and alone but letting her go at the very last second while still having killed hundreds makes all of this stupid and frustrating

This movie is massive, and it FEELS massive (a touch to its own detriment). You're swept up in this, mythic journey that's also a man finding himself, and his family. That was a capital A Adventure and I adored it. (The swordfights were lame) 9/10
