@saints_clips Absolute game changer. I thought we had you at that moment as you were struggling to get out. Think we caught the previous kick near halfway. Seemed a matter of time before the game would be tied, but this was a major sucker punch and a lesson to take chances when they come.

Pinned in our own half for multiple sets due to Yorks impressive line speed and Sailor produces a manky 40/20! This was the turning point in the game for us imo.

@M_Shaw1 2 big moments where the game swung but at 16-10 the game looked like it could’ve gone either way. We had saints pinned in their half and struggling to get out.

A word on York, thought they were excellent for an hour. Definitely have a spirit and togetherness that will take them a long way. Decent brand of rugby too.

@RhysBycfc @sameoldcitypod Male. Williams, Brookes, Newby, Pearce, Felix, Grey, Howe, Sinclair all signed from this level or below and just got us promoted out of the league. Nothing wrong with looking at players at this level at all.

@cheapmansvest think it’s got to be a top end L1/Champ club that comes in. He knows the aim is to be promoted again, so you’d stay be part of that and end up in L1 anyway. I read it more as: yeah I’d love to play higher, but I love the club and what it’s given me, so if I stay I’m happy

Not totally convinced he's on his way, of course there will be offers, but it's reasonable to assume he might want reassurances on the recruitment pipeline, timescales for ambition and maybe an improved contract. It's not over #ycfc 🔴 🔵

Ok let’s do this again (last time was after the Boston playoff win). What do you think will be the attendance at City’s first Lg 2 game at the LNER? Closest answer wins a gold star! Reigning champion is @mrwozzer1974 who guessed 3,975 (the actual attendance was 3,978). #ycfc

QUIZ: alright then, it’d be ace if you joined in last night’s pub conversation. What will the attendance be at City’s first league game of the season at the LNER? Post your guess below before the fixtures are released. Closest answer wins considerable glory & acclaim #ycfc

@cheapmansvest Fun fact for you. Josh Stones has scored as many goals (2) in the 103rd minute, as Joe Nutall has all season.

@AlwaysOafc The same professional footballers you called a shit football team a year ago. They’re 100% focusing on their success, but taking the piss on a comment made. Can’t be that shit if we’ve won the league.

I’m in shock that ‘professional’ footballers are so hung up by us. They’ve absolutely battered everyone this season and fully deserve promotion, but instead of focus on their success they focus on their failure a year ago. Fans I get. Players just odd. Must be Uggla. #oafc

If pulling shirts and dragging players down in the box is your only tactic, then of course you're going to give away a penalty.

@JSWC1995 There’s another angle which shows it clearly over the line. Defender in the goal, never even complained at the decision. They all knew it was a goal

@MakkosWorld @PopSideSoulBoy The point being made, is that 3up shouldn’t happen because the level is too different. That quite literally shows the NL sides are better than pretty much half the league every time, and in most cases better than most of the league.

‘with fully professional clubs operating at a level equal to or higher than many of those in League 2’ What fucking nonsense. Carlisle got relegated with pretty much the same squad and they will get 95 points. The competition in L2 is levels above, pathetic this statement
York City F(C)@YorkCityFC

This Saturday’s game brings an end to one of the most thrilling, exciting and unpredictable title races in football history. Both ourselves and Rochdale have the chance to write our names in National League history. The National League is no longer a non-league competition. It is effectively a League 3, with fully professional clubs operating at a level equal to or higher than many of those in League 2. We both understand how important this game is to both clubs and supporters. We both pledge now that whatever happens tomorrow, we will both continue to fight for 3UP. Both clubs sit on over 100 points. One of us will have to fight once more in the National League Play-Offs. However, we both strongly believe that this shouldn’t have to be the case. We call on the National League, Football Regulator, EFL and Premier League to come together immediately and resolve this issue, so that we do not have to highlight this injustice year after year. For both sets of supporters attending the Crown Oil Arena this weekend, we say thank you for being with us all season. The passion you’ve shown for both clubs has been felt across the world. This game will be seen far and wide. We want to showcase this league for all its potential. Keep your support in the stands, not on the pitch, and let’s all protect the game we love. Thank you! Rochdale AFC & York City FC #YCFC🔴🔵
