Millennials have started developing withdrawal symptoms from two days of missing work . I met one in the morning and he started talking to me in their weird sheng , "mbuyu ni noma bana ,nimetuna Hadi nikachoka bana ,alafu neighbor amewasha kigode joh ". What a weird generation of young people with old minds this one .

The Government has taken measures to mitigate against the unprecedented spike in global fuel prices ocassioned by the US/ Israel- Iran war. With the effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz, ships are taking longer routes and insurance costs have soared to record highs. The Goverment has already reduced VAT on fuel from 16% to 8%, while 12 billion shillings from the fuel stabilization fund have been applied to manage prices, otherwise the prices would have shot to 300 shillings per litre by now. President William Ruto has ordered an interministerial engagement of Cabinet Secretaries responsible for the National Treasury, Energy, Transport and Interior to engage with stakeholders to see what additional measures are necessary, and to make sure normalcy in the transport sector returns as soon as possible. While citizens have the freedom to demonstrate to show their displeasure with the prevailing situation, criminal acts of arson, obstruction of traffic,looting of property and robbery of motorists and other innocent members of the public cannot be tolerated and will be severely punished. The public is requested to exercise calm and patience as the Government contemplates additional measures to ensure that fuel prices do not rise to levels that will cause serious damage to the economy, in as much as possible, and cognizant that the present situation is caused by factors beyond the control of the Republic of Kenya.

One angry citizen can be dismissed.
Millions facing the same hardship can't. Public outrage is the 1st symptom of political failure, not the cause of it. When an entire generation, working class, students,&ordinary citizens are all crying abt the same cost of living & failed policies, maybe the problem isn’t “the people.” A nation rarely protests in unison for no reason.

This matatu strike is not a policing issue.... It is an economic issue.
Kenyans are protesting fuel prices, cost of living and a government that has refused to listen.
Security chiefs must stay out of this and stop being used as political shields for Kenya Kwanza’s economic failure.
When police rush to threaten citizens before leaders even address the grievance, it raises a serious question.... is some of the violence and chaos we have seen today planned, allowed, encouraged or exploited so the regime can hide behind “security” instead of confronting the economic pain?
Ruto and his government must face Kenyans directly.
You cannot raise fuel prices, ignore the suffering, then send commanders to speak in the language of force.
Security chiefs are not elected leaders.
Let them maintain lawful order, not manage political anger on behalf of a failed regime.

They vandalised all shops built by the government along kamiti Rd-Just past lumumba Drive and carried everything to sell as scrap metals. The shops were completed just a few weeks ago and they were still vacant

We are slowly becoming a destructive society where vandalism of public infrastructure is being normalized, and in the long run we are ruining our own country. Those metal grills on Thika Road were installed using taxpayers’ money to serve and protect the public.

Let’s separate the myths from the facts
Down syndrome is caused by meiotic non disjunction of the sex chromosome… instead of two you end up with 3 sex chromosomes that’s why it’s aka trisomy 21 .
There is no relationship between physical activity and non-disjunction during cell division .
Physical activity is actually recommended in pregnancy with benefits to both mother and child with research indicating it improves placental circulation which actually supports overall fetal development. In summary moderate exercise as seen in this video is both very good for both mother and child .
Let’s go back to Down syndrome . So what are the known risk factors ?
Advanced maternal age ( clearly not the case here ) , increased paternal age also indicated in some studies , family history of chromosomal abnormalities , previous child with Down syndrome .
