The club being run into the ground and you've got fans complaining they're not paying more for the two fingers up they're served up every week. You could do fascinating studies on this fanbase.

League One champions. Play-off heartbreak against Cardiff and Watford. Promotion to the Premier League as champions in 2014. Then the Greatest Escape in 2015. The impossible dream in 2016 — Premier League Champions. A Champions League quarter-final. A Europa League semi-final. Two trips to Wembley for the Community Shield, lifting it once. And finally, at the fifth attempt, the FA Cup. Then the reality check — relegation from the Premier League, an instant Championship title, and sadly another relegation. A true rollercoaster of incredible highs and painful lows. But if you could go back to 2009… would you take that deal?

We’ve signed 8 players this season and in a relegation battle none of them start. But the DOF has been promoted. There has to be reason completely unrelated to football that has see Rudkin protected and promoted. It’s the only plausible explanation for this madness.

@DavidGLeedham @georgeha11 It should hardly be a surprise that people are choosing not to go given how badly the Club is being managed. I know STH’s that have travelled away every week for years either questioning or not bothering. While it’s there prerogative, there’s no demand from others.

The ‘Boro 700 💙 Hardly an advert to revamp the priority scheme is it? Countless matches have made it far down the priority bands and haven’t even come close to selling out; unsurprisingly given our form but kinda dispels the myth that tickets are hard to come by.

@DavidGLeedham The idea that many in the higher brackets buy to sell on to other fans is a myth I can assure you; although without an adequate resale option, it’s no surprise tickets are occasionally sold on.

@Sam_Lambert7 I’m in the ‘All ST’ priority which prevented me four times this season to be able to buy a ticket on the Friday. But now it’s quite easy, so I conclude that many in the higher priority are not buying a ticket. Maybe as they realise they can no longer sell them to other fans.

@Ben237823759994 Admittedly, the system does need tweaking slightly and those like you do deserve a reward for putting the effort in; although my point stands when many games recently have reached lower priority bands because people aren’t bothered and will still moan when the bigger games roll.

@georgeha11 Cov (a) made it pretty far down the priority bands in fairness. I do agree to an extent as the system does need tweaking; however, my point still stands. Even if it’s tweaked, people will still moan when they miss out unless they put the hard yards in.

@Sam_Lambert7 I went to this game last night and I do all the long away games but never get a look in for games like Cov (A) We weren’t doing any better than this when we played Coventry yet it was sold out. For away games it should be based on previously attended away games in last 2 seasons
