As a learning scientist and naturalist, his work centers on understanding how people engage with science, especially through low-cost, culturally grounded tools that make learning more accessible and meaningful. 📚 His journey into research truly came alive during his PhD. While he had research experience during his Master's, it was only as a doctoral student that he encountered the full depth of authentic scientific inquiry. From asking purposeful questions to interpreting data with care, Rafikh embraced the process with integrity and passion. ✨ However, the moment that truly transformed his perspective was when he used a Foldscope for the first time. Although he had studied microbiology extensively, he had rarely observed live microorganisms. That changed with Foldscope.
