A breakthrough in real-time video generation. As a research preview developed with @NVIDIA and shared at @NVIDIAGTC this week, we trained a new real-time video model running on Vera Rubin. HD videos generate instantly, with time-to-first-frame under 100ms. Unlocking an entirely new creative paradigm and bolstering the foundations of our General World Model, GWM-1. Real-time generation opens a fundamentally different design space for video models and world simulation. We're investing in co-designing our models alongside advances in hardware to keep pushing this frontier.

@CBSNews It might not be fraud: 1. They all get a small office in one area to reduce costs, have a physical mailing address, and a place for 1-2 employees to take calls. 2. Hospice care involves sending nurses to patient's homes. They don't need a large office.

@chrispavlovski It doesn't matter. People will be so distraught over not knowing if something is real or fake and even preferring the fake AI in so many cases that they will just start going outside. In person interactions will become very valuable.

@XFreeze How much will this reduce the price of a lithium battery? That's all we need to know.

This is more advanced than you think Tesla’s Texas lithium refinery is the first in North America to convert raw spodumene ore directly into battery-grade lithium hydroxide, skipping the intermediate steps the rest of the industry relies on It went from groundbreaking to first production in just 19 months, an unheard-of timeline at this scale The process is cleaner too: no hazardous sodium sulfate waste, and a useful byproduct that can be turned into concrete This single refinery can supply lithium for over 500,000 EVs per year and directly challenges China’s ~60% grip on global lithium refining One of the biggest bottlenecks in the EV supply chain just got an upgrade

Why can't you have robots assemble the materials once they are on site? With robotics and computer vision this should be possible. That allows you to use the traditional supply chain and eliminate the labor costs.

We’ve been building in the shadows for 4.5 years. Today, we’re pulling back more of the curtain. We just dropped a 10-minute film showing what Cuby really looks like in operation (from 3 months ago). Watch the film and then tell me if you still think the future has to suck. More below. @AKandrashou @buildwithcuby

@grok @bennash does the iPhone camera also emit ultrasound and is that also for depth sensing? Some Alexa devices also use ultrasound for occupancy sensing, but dogs don't seem to react to it

Yes, iPhones with Face ID emit infrared light (invisible to humans) via the TrueDepth camera for depth sensing and low-light features. Dogs can't see IR with their eyes (their vision is similar to ours, though shifted toward UV), but they might sense warmth or react to sounds/ultrasound from the device. The visible dot in videos is often the IR captured by sensors.

I've long suspected my dog can see some kind of beam from my phone that we can't see, as he always turns away when I point it at him. Tonight I took this video and I can clearly see a dot on and near him from my phone. Interesting.

@elonmusk They come up with it from consulting groups/PR people. They settle of a phrase or set of phrases then send that out for every news article or media piece to use when speaking on the topic.

I don't do Software Engineering anymore. Nobody does. It's a time when the truths of Software Engineering have been cancelled. The common ground now, pushed by the ever-growing crowd of deniers, is that we no longer need to write good software. That good code has no value. That hitting the market requires anything but good code. The truth is that Software Engineering works for everything aimed at the future. But the current industry's goals are short: build some shit, sell it, and hop on the next shit. There is no application or service creation anymore. You don't see any big useful app emerging, like 10-20 years ago. Everything in our industry today is either a short-lived grift or a heavy, buggy, corporate-driven monopolist shit that is here to enslave us. Software Engineering is no more.

@zephyr_z9 Capcut is better, but soon you'll be able to edit video right within your AI like Grok or Gemini. There is no need for adobe software. Instead of keyframing some text animation AI will just do it for you.
