We were privileged to host Dr. Robert Smith Jr. (Baptist Chair of Divinity, Beeson Divinity School) for our annual Dotson N. Nelson lecture. Dr. Smith lectured on the theme, "What in the World is God Doing" and spoke at a luncheon for clergy and faculty.

I had a wonderful time in Alabama giving lectures at Samford University, hosted by my friends Dr Roy Ciampa and Dr. Mike Hardin. We talked about how modern Christianity can rediscover the strange beauty of the first Christians and bring goodness and hope to a disenchanted age.
