@AdamJoseph Interesting take. I think every fan has a reporter they trust more, but for me it’s not just about breaking news first. Accuracy, consistency, professionalism and respect all matter. Credit to everyone working hard to bring fans the latest information. 👏
English

You can tell a lot about a football fan by whether they prefer David Ornstein or Fabrizio Romano.
I'll choose the one with integrity & treats everyone he encounters with respect, reports & informs his audience, doesn't aggregate others information or steal stories from smaller reporters, who credits others when they break news first.
There is a reason nobody in the media industry has a bad word to say about one of them while the other is more or less universally despised.
English

@Mrlinah20 @Plettigoal @FabrizioRomano @David_Ornstein @JacobsBen @alex_crook Great point. Fabrizio, Plettenberg, Ornstein and others have all built their reputations for a reason. Transfer situations can change by the hour, so the smartest thing is to follow the updates and wait for the final outcome. 👏
English

I honestly don’t like the back-and-forth going on between @Plettigoal and @FabrizioRomano right now.
I genuinely love and respect both of them. These guys are some of the best in the game and I look up to them a lot — same goes for @David_Ornstein, @JacobsBen and @alex_crook. Big love to all of you.
@Plettigoal is saying the Diomande deal is not done ✅ and even @David_Ornstein is pointing in the same direction… but @FabrizioRomano has already dropped the “Here we go!”
Let’s just wait and see how this one plays out.
English

@john322226 Both are elite journalists with strong sources. Transfer sagas can change quickly, and sometimes one reporter has the latest piece of the puzzle before the other. The only thing that matters is who gets the final outcome right. 👀
English

@FabrizioRomano This is the right decision for both sides. A difficult season because of injury doesn’t erase what Jamal Musiala is capable of. Bayern backing him and Musiala wanting to respond on the pitch makes sense.
English

🚨🔴⚪️ Beyond Galatasaray official note, Bayern and Musiala’s camp also have no plans to part ways this summer.
Jamal wants to succeed at Bayern after a difficult season after injury and the club believes in him.

@frankgolwin11 @FabrizioRomano Maybe, but we only ever see a small part of these situations. The full story usually comes out later.
English

@SamhbkHQ @FabrizioRomano Diomande is a petulant child who doesn't know his ass from his head.. tomorrow u will hear Madrid is his dream club of his great grandmom, same crap he said Abt Liverpool, PSG, and everyone else that wanted him..
English

🚨 Paris Saint-Germain, very upset about Yan Diomande saga behind the scenes.
Yan will sign for Real Madrid next week while PSG say they will “not be drawn into the inflationary and manipulative games”.
Real deal will be signed in the coming days.

@FabrizioRomano @Alflusennnnn This transfer saga has had more drama off the pitch than on it. 😂

English

@Alflusennnnn I never wrote “bidding”, and they were never “ready to bid” yesterday because Man City were out of Diomande deal one week ago. But for me they can write whatever they want. Just if you attack, I have to reply. Easy. 😃
English

@FabrizioRomano @Plettigoal The transfer window really brings out a different level of competition. 😂 At the end of the day, the official announcement is what matters.

you start accusing, I cross the line. Now at least I see you’ve learned how to tag 😂 very good. Maybe I should share messages from few years ago where you asked me “how can I increase followers” or “your job is my motivation”… you who are now teaching how to do this job on here. But I’m not going out of context, as you did.
I replied on the same topic, Diomande, sharing your tweet saying “Man City ready to bid”… you go on other topics. 🤷🏼♂️
Keep going, in that case better ask around Anfield about the number 10 shirt. And remember: who started this circus is you, with your post on Diomande to Madrid that it’s going (for sure) to happen. This is my last reply. Enjoy 🤗
English

Okay, wow. By accusing us of “fake news” with „Man City bidding“ (never reported) you’ve unfortunately crossed a line.
I never wanted to bring this up, but your Klopp report was simply ridiculous and disrespectful to every journalist who actually does proper reporting. One day after the DFB had already named him in its official statement, you posted a “here we go”. Posting a signing soon and it’s almost one week later. I honestly thought you’d have the decency not to do that.
Anyone could have posted that Klopp HWG because it was obvious he was going to become Germany’s head coach. Your report was based on probability, not on actual agreements.
As long as you keep deleting false „here we go’s“ and posting results minutes before the final whistle just because of algorithms and the need to be first in the race against 433 and score apps, only to delete them five minutes later because Neymar scores, you should probably keep a lower sound overall. The same applies when you fail to credit the original source in a large share of your Instagram posts.
Do your business. We’ll do ours. But accusing others of spreading lies is quite ironic coming from someone in your position. Good night.

English

@FabrizioRomano @Blue_Footy Transfer windows really bring out the competitive side of football journalists, don’t they? 😂
English

don’t worry, Diomande goes to Real Madrid as Klopp went to Germany. Ask about the fake news yesterday on Man City bidding €100m for Diomande when they’ve been out for days, and when Madrid were already advancing. They are good at talking about others (not even that good, they can’t even tag me 🤣) but… check your own news first, then talk about me. 🤗
English

@David_Ornstein @TheAthleticFC What makes Real Madrid so convinced he’s worth over €100m at 19? 🤔
English

🚨 Real Madrid expected to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. 1st bid rejected ~10 days ago, 2nd (€100m fixed, €120m package) set to be rejected but agreement likely soon. #PSG out; 19yo returns to #RBLeipzig on Mon with wish to join #RMFC @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/74688…
English

@FabrizioRomano Real Madrid don’t usually spend this kind of money unless they’re convinced. The expectations will be massive.
English

PSG withdrawing from the race for Yan Diomande after feeling the asking price and salary demands were “disproportionate” raises an interesting point.
Since INEOS took over at Manchester United, they’ve made it pretty clear they don’t want to overpay for players or disrupt the club’s wage structure, even if they rate the player highly.
Yet when United walk away from deals for those same reasons, it’s often labelled as poor negotiation or bad business.
Not every deal you walk away from is a failure. Sometimes the best business decision is knowing when to say no.

English

@FabrizioRomano @MenInBlazers Real Madrid have a serious eye for young talent. 👀
€100m+ is a lot of pressure, but if Diomande fulfils his potential, this could look like another smart Madrid move in a few years.
English

@samuelluckhurst Good to see young talents being trusted around the first team. The key now is patience — giving Shea Lacey the right environment to develop while letting him earn his opportunities. 🔴
English

#mufc planning to keep Shea Lacey in first team squad until January, at the earliest

@unitedpeoplestv This third kit is a beauty. 😍 The white and red details make it stand out.
English

@UEF_Podcast @Santi_J_FM One of those transfers where the expectations were massive from day one. Sancho had the talent, but the United chapter never reached the level anyone expected. A fresh start might be best for all sides.

@premierleague Preseason is all about building rhythm, fitness and understanding. The real tests are coming soon 🔥
English

@SkySportsPL Interesting one. Do United give Zirkzee more time to develop, or do they move on and bring in a different profile?
