Best thing UEFA did was getting rid of teams getting relegated into the next tournament. A story of Rayo Vallecano being in a European semi final is so much more interesting than some fallen giant trying to redeem a shit season.

Rayo Vallecano are in a European semi final. They dont sell online tickets. The stadium often doesnt have running water in the toilets. The pitch is a joke. The club shop looks like a teenager's cupboard. Their training ground is in pieces. IT IS AN ABSOLUTE MIRACLE!!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

For years, PSG’s failures in Europe were blamed on the “low level” of French football. The moment they won it, the same lack of competition suddenly became an advantage. It give them the freedom to focus on Europe. When English clubs dominated, it was proof their league is miles ahead of every other in Europe. The second they struggle, now the league is too competitive.

When EPL teams lose/draw, it’s always because others have an unfair advantage. But when they win, it’s always because they’re superior. For other leagues, draws/defeats are always because their leagues are rubbish. But when they win, it’s always because of an unfair advantage.

The Premier League schedule is absolutely cooking every team competing in Europe. Palace’s game against a Cyprus team that I didn’t even know existed ended 0-0. Forest lost to Midtjylland. Villa narrowly beat Lille with their only shot on target resulting in a goal.

Xavi ended up being the representation of everything Barça should break ties with. A group of people - and their environment- that feels entitled to the club as a whole and acts this way. Just because of their past and simply guided by their ego. We should be long done with that.
